FITZGERALD EYEBALLING ARIZONA EXIT? (1 Viewer)

Chargers would take him. They should be over the last Arizona WR fiasco (Boston).
Since we are raiding other teams rosters for talent...
There is a rumor going around my cubicle that LT is unsatisfied with Norv Turners Offense. On pace for just 544 yards, LT may have taken notice of Ken Whisenhunt's run first mentality and may want to go to a team that can utilize his talents more effectively. Welcome aboard LT!

I love baseless speculation.

Fitzgerald to Minnesota just because he's from Minnesota? If he hates Whisenhunt's offense, how much more would he hate Childresses?

And if McNabb becomes a Viking, I hope they DO move to LA.
I love these too .. McNabb to the Bears because he's from Chi-TownFitz to the Vikings cause he was a ball boy there growing up in Minny

Why doesnt the NFL have the old Player Allocation Draft by Location ... that way all the players are happy and we can watch Florida , Texas, and California fight for the Championship every year ...!!!!
And what exactly is wrong with this? :loco: :lmao:

Didn't they just get rid of McNabb?Oh yeah ..........Right that was Culpepper, sometimes it's hard to tell the two apart.
McNabb is the one that has it rough, if you see one on a boat thats probably Culpepper.

Read this on another site by Bob Harris,

According to Profootballtalk.com editor Mike Florio, only two regular-season games into the Ken Whisenhunt era, rumors already are flying receiver Larry Fitzgerald is looking to leave the Cardinals when his rookie contract ends.

Fitzgerald, as the rumor goes, is not a big fan of Whisenhunt's run-based offense -- and for good reason.

Fitzgerald currently is averaging only five catches and 53.5 yards per game, which puts him on pace for 80 receptions and 856 receiving yards for the season. He currently has no receiving touchdowns in 2007.

Florio went on to suggest there's no indication that Fitzgerald, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2004 draft, plans to try to force his way out prematurely. Based on the escalators in his rookie contract, there was speculation when it was signed that the Cardinals would likely have to extend the deal after four seasons.

Since this is Fitzgerald's fourth season, and given that it's hard to justify two highly-paid wideouts (Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin) if the offense doesn't take full advantage of both of their skills, it could be time for the Cardinals to think about trading Fitzgerald.

Florio further speculated that Minnesota could be a potential landing spot.

Fitzgerald is a native of Minneapolis and worked as a ball boy during the days of Cris Carter and Randy Moss. Though plenty of folks are murmuring about the Vikes possibly sniffing around Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb, Florio think it makes more sense for the Vikes try to bring Fitzgerald home.

Especially if the team wants to sell out the Metrodome on a regular basis.

I think he lined the wrong report from PFW. He probably meant to link this earlier Arizon write up from Sept 19th.

Fitzgerald totally sold on new coaching staff

When he was first named the Cardinals’ new head coach, one of the biggest problems team insiders thought Ken Whisenhunt would run into in the early going would be the level of acceptance he would receive from Cardinals star WR Larry Fitzgerald. Not only was Whisenhunt replacing Dennis Green, with whom Fitzgerald has had a close relationship dating back to his days as the Vikings’ ball boy under Green in Minnesota but Whisenhunt was also intent on installing a dramatically different run-oriented offense that threatened to markedly reduce Fitzgerald’s receiving opportunities. However, two weeks into the ’07 campaign, it turns out Fitzgerald couldn’t be happier with Whisenhunt and his staff — particularly offensive coordinator Todd Haley, WR coach Mike Miller and, last but certainly not least, offensive quality control coach Dedric Ward. Haley has long been known around the league for his excitable demeanor and knack for getting into his receivers’ faces. “He (Haley) really does coach hard and isn’t afraid to speak his mind, but he loves what he’s doing, and it shows,” Fitzgerald told PFW in a phone interview late Tuesday morning. “Things might come out wrong at times, but you can’t take it personal, because he really does love you at the end of the day." Fitzgerald says he loves the “unique” manner in which Cardinals receivers are coached. “Not only does Todd work with us every day,” Fitzgerald explained. “We also have Mike Miller, who’s very good with the mental aspect and getting us lined up in the right positions on a consistent basis, and Dedric, who played in the NFL for a lot of different teams and really gives you a great insight because of that. It really is a great situation.”

Regardless of where he goes......just go.

He's a waste of talent in the offense and the way Arizona uses him, they'd be smart to get rid of him as well and just invest that money into a STUD lineman.

They don't use the player's talents they have on the team. He'd be better used somewhere else.

Yeah they updated the page after I posted the link. Thanks

So let me get this straight...

This was a very loose, hypothetical talk show topic Fox Sportsnet's afternoon drive time show. Ironically, it was aired the day prior to profootballtalk.com posting the same story.

Solid and responsible journalism.

I think Fitz has incredible ability and I can't wait to seem him be able to show it even more on the field. He seems to be limited by Leinart at this point. I keep reading in this thread about how he is used in that offense. There are only 6 receivers in the NFL that have more targets than him after two games. The problem is alot of times when he is targeted the pass has been way off line.
