Fitzgerald GTD now? (1 Viewer)

Larry Fitzgerald (groin) was limited in practice again Friday and will be a game-time decision Sunday against Cleveland.

However, Cardinals website beat writer Darren Urban expects Fitz to find a way to play. The Cardinals and Browns face off in a 4:05 ET game, but we'd wait on him in fantasy leagues with such a favorable matchup. If Fitzgerald does miss the game, third receiver Bryant Johnson would start outside.

Great...he has a fantastic matchup too..anyone have any insight?

I don't expect Warner to have a monster game with Fitz down like he did last game despite the Cleveland D being bad against the pass. May have to rethink my QB this week...

Where the heck did this come from? Or did I fall asleep when 1 of my teams was officially eliminated, and the other has a BYE this week?

Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part but...

Cardinals’ Fitzgerald questionable vs. Browns

Mike Tulumello, Tribune

Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald is listed as questionable Sunday vs. Cleveland with a sore groin.

Fitzgerald did a little more in practice Friday than earlier in the week. “He’s definitely feeling better,” coach Ken Whisenhunt said.

Whisenhunt said Fitzgerald will work out Sunday morning before the game, then a determination on his status will be made.

Fitzgerald said earlier in the week that he would be OK to play Sunday. On Friday, he said little except that, “It feels better."

Safety Aaron Francisco (calf) and receiver Jerheme Urban (heel) are doubtful.

This sucks. So now I've got to choose between a dinged up Fitzy or an injured 85 on Heinz Field.
:goodposting:
Chad is injured , plus he has to play on Heinz field where the rain is expected to come again.
per Sportsline:Bengals WR Chad Johnson, who missed Thursday's practice with a knee injury, has played in 13 career games against the Steelers -- Cincinnati's Week 13 opponent. However, Johnson has only scored two touchdowns in the series. That's one touchdown less than he had against the Titans in Week 12. In the meeting between the Bengals and Steelers earlier this season, Johnson was held to 51 yards on five catches.

The weather could be downright awful again in Pittsburgh on Sunday night as there is a 70 percent chance of rain and temperatures should be hovering right around freezing. This usually bodes well for receivers as they don't have to cut as much as RBs do, but with the state of the grass at Heinz Field, who knows what sort of debacle this game will turn into. With the risky field issue and the fact he's going against the stellar Pittsburgh defense, we rank Johnson as only a high-end No. 2 Fantasy WR in Week 13. Johnson usually missed one practice a week, but it is nothing to be alarmed about at this time.

Edited to say I love how Sportsline clarifies the fact that two TDs is one less than 3 TDs. haha

If this the case, I guess that teaches me for listening to Sportsline! :wall:

Great...I just traded away Hou QB Schuab to upgrade at WR thinking that Warner would have at least as good of stats as Schuab.

Now I have to believe that Warner is a 3rd tier QB start with Boldin still not completely healed and Fitz now a GTD....

To make it worse, the QB I got in exchange is Eli Manning...who I don't trust at all.

When did this injury occur - I hadn't heard anything about it??? Dang.

I think it definitely bumps Boldin a little, but I still expect Fitz to play. He did practice more later in the week, and this is a must win for the Cards.

This is just a game between the coaches, one puts Edwards at questionable, one puts Fitzgerald as questionable. Both will play and likely have no real injury.

Fitzgerald listed as questionable, but 'feels better’

The worst thing is that Fitz plays the late game so for most a decision will have to be made before the 1pm games. Lee Evans is the guy I would have to go with........but unless I hear Fitz is OUT before the 1pm game I am going to gamble on him playing

 bumps down Warner a bit, Ben's playing on bad turf again, Losman lost his job... VY against Houston :goodposting:

No one seems real interested in Bryant Johnson. Why is that? I would think he would be a good solid back up fpr Fitz if he didn't play or even if he did.

I don't know, but my gut says he plays...Juicy matchup lots of points.

Fitzgerald at least 80 yards and 1 score.

Arizona and Cleveland both still in the hunt. This game has big numbers written all over it. Both score 30 points.

Hoping to here more well before game time. Cannot afford a goose egg.

Well this may mean something or not....

It's sounding more and more like Bryant Johnson will be a good spot play tomorrow......

All my other WRs play at 1:00. Now I have to decide whether to start Bruce or Roddy White or roll the dice with Fitz.

I wouldn't read to much into this, they had to bring someone up, as they put Adrian Wilson on the IR
