I think the definition of Fast Food is being liberally applied here. IMO, Fast Food should have a "drive-thru" attached to it. Does Five Guys have a drive-thru speaker box that shouts "SIX IN THE CAR!!!" when you roll up to it where you live? Not fast food, choot.

I had my first In-N-Out experience recently, and I have to say that I was thoroughly underwhelmed. The excessive hype may have had something to do with it, but I would take a Five Guys burger over it any day.

But really, I'm a thick burger guy. Thin patties are for chumps.

Despite the terrible quality, I'd still call Subway "Fast Casual". Same category as Five Guys, Chipotle, Panera types of places. Pretty much all sandwich shops are probably Fast Casual.

I believe we are now in the 5th or 6th incarnation of the "is it fast food?" debate now in this thread.

I dont know about the greek restaurant but most of these places make me pay before I can take my food. Or at best its a combined transaction of handing money/taking food. At least not like a restaurant where you eat then pay.

And arent most buffets pay first? Although Souplantation allows you to get your salad before paying but you dont eat until after you pay.

It is a bit tedious yes. Sandwich type, length, bread type. Hold on while I get that started for you. Cheese? Answer. Toppings? Hold on... Sauce/dressing? Ok. Chips or drink with that? Pull up while I finish getting that ready...

Five Guys burgers tend to linger on my taste buds and exacerbate my reflux after eating. Has happened the past two-three times. It's definitely an issue with me going back.
