Florida boy killed by Neighborhood Watch (4 Viewers)

According to the only testimony we have regarding the confrontation, GZ initiated it. He followed Trayvon. "
Following someone is not confrontation. Punching them is.
If someone is making a point to follow me as I walk down a street, I'm going to feel a little confronted. The guy following me certainly isn't passively pretending I don't exist.
I'd suggest you look up the word confrontation in a dictionary.
Thanks, Internet Muscles, but I was talking about how one would feel if being purposefully followed down the street. To complete the semantics loop, I'm not saying the act in and of itself is a confrontation.

According to the only testimony we have regarding the confrontation, GZ initiated it. He followed Trayvon. Didi urged Trayvon to run away. Trayvon refused, and that cost him his life. Trayvon continued to walk and GZ continued to follow (after he had received instructions not to do so). It's likely Trayvon did not want to lead GZ to his house where his little brother was waiting, so he finally turned around and asked, "Why are you following me?"
And then TM proceeded to pummel and attempt to murder GZ by pounding his head into the concrete. That's an inconvenient fact in the little story.

Jesus, they're going to let him skate on the lesser charge. Unbelievable.
You've GOT to be kidding us here, right?

You don't honestly believe this guy should get Murder 2, do you?
Obviously I do.
You've got to be Jo Jo's polar opposite. I think we've found the other end of the spectrum here guys.
I don't have nearly the post count in here and haven't tried to explain law and the courts to lawyers.

This thread is gonna go to a whole new level when the verdict is out, and the new folks storm in
And really we can sum up this entire thread pretty easily:

There's smoke around George Zimmerman, but no is able to prove the fire so posters come up with countless theories.

For the mainstream media and about 80% or more of the population this case isn't even about Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman. It's about their own personal values and biases and people are refusing to listen to reason when it doesn't fit their agenda.

Whatever the jury decides will.be just- that's our system- but I gotta say I'm not in love with the 6 person thing. It may be cuz I'm not used to it...

One thing that doesn't make sense to me is if you believe the prosecution, why would GZ mount TM and not just shoot him right away? If he really was going to shoot him he would do that standing up.

There were no signs of injury to TM other then the gun shot.

Seems to me that GZ story makes more sense then what prosecution painted.

What do the real attorneys think about these latest developments? Are the jurors leaning guilty, or not guilty?
They have ruled out Second Degree and there is one hold out for Manslaughter with the other 5 at Not Guilty
Think you're full of baloney.
Deduction suggests this might be the case. If I had to guess, they felt that self defense eliminated Murder 2 and the jurors need to review the definition of manslaughter to see if that could be ruled out as well. I think they'll acquit.

:lmao:

So if someone is on top of you, pummeling you, trying to break your skull on the concrete....you're just supposed to take it?
According to some people in this thread, yes.
Link?
SMASHING HIS SKULL OVER AND OVER INTO THE CEMENT = 2 tiny lacerations that required ZERO stitches.....then the tussle moved to the nice soft grass...so he survived the concrete now he had to try and survive the grass and supposed suffocation . So lets see...he didnt die from the punch to the nose ...he didnt die from the cement...and he didnt die from being smothered....so hmmm...OH YA ...trey was gonna shoot him with his own gun...boy he really covered all the bases didnt he?

I just want people to put themselves into GZ's shoes "Quantum Leap" style for a minute. There's a big athletic football player on top of you punching you repeatedly in the face (breaking your nose in fact) and it's shoot him or die yourself.....what do you do? I believe that even you bunch of ######s would act to save your lives.

BTW The question isn't "would you have been following him in the first place".

Edit: Wow, even the medical term is blocked. Well played Bryant.
