I do as well and I can't play without them anymore.

Also, I about flipped my #### when they got rid of the Brazilian team names during the winter update because the licenses expired. Went and found a real names fix real quick.
No kidding... never an issue though, since the fixes are out quick...

Almost Friday!!!

Yeah, I know... just having a good run right now in 16, and haven't switched yet. Finally went a full season undefeated, and want to see how well I can do in CL.
damn it... just bought it... installing :bag:

hate you all... but mostly myself. good bye sleep

Damn, I like this much better than 16. Only subtle changes, but they make a difference for me. A little wonky that I can't reuse my tactic files (at least I haven't figured out how yet)...

It makes me feel better to see the fake Liverpool go down in a pile of flaming ####...it gives my fake Spurs teams meaning...
Don't worry, give Real Liverpool time... they're eventually bound to slip up...

Gator doesn't frequent this thread, does he? :scared:

I just started a new save, and he scored 6 (Six!) against Swansea at home for me.
He just had a delightful road hat-trick not long after I uploaded that at the Etihad... :excited:

...against Jurgen Klopp's Man City team. (Pep got sacked after having Citeh as low as 16 at one point. They are around 11th in April)

So I'm pretty happy about this little bit of news. Sakho was a goner in the summer window anyway since I'm bringing in Jose Gimenez and Eder Alvarez Balanta. It also just so happened that Barca was actually interested in him, and while Karius has been fine, he's not Ter Stegen.
I bought Donnarumma for £22.5M (potential £35) and Pulisic for £15 (potential £22), and things are looking great to start. Even better, United is in 20th after opening the season with 5 straight losses.

I also haz a Pulicic and he's my #1 sub off the bench already. Dude just performs, but when you have Coutinho, Firmino, and Mane at AML, AMC, AMR in a 4-2-3-1 wide and you can't play CM, it's hard to find your way into the lineup sometimes. But he gets plenty of PT and I let him pillage the Under-23s to keep him fresh.

Yeah, doing the same... nice injury cover for sure.

Anyone still playing?

I am back to toying with tactics - I had a decent 5-3-2 (or 3-5-2) tactic in FM16, but now I am trying to figure out a good 3-4-3, or anything close.  Chelsea are obviously running it successfully, and Spurs have tried it on a couple of occasions.

I have not been able to settle on much, other than the back 3.  I can't get the wingbacks and/or wide MFs to work effectively, I cant get the right CM pairing (seems like it needs a BWM and a DLP - but I get over-run in the MF), and I can't get the top-3 to work well (really only tried AML/R set as inside forwards, and a DLF).  I wonder if I need to play 2 behind the striker as AMCs, and let them roam into channels?  Maybe then, I can go for 2 workhorse types as the CM pairing, and let one of the AMs be the playmaker - seems light on attack though.

I probably should go back and look at my team instructions in the 5-3-2 to see if I am missing anything.

Still playing. In my second year with Liverpool and I'm developing a juggernaut. Running away with the Prem in February 11 points up and just smacked around Atletico Madrid like a whore's ### in the Chaaaaaampiooooooooons League.

Current formation is a 4-2-2-2 attacking. I've done 4-2-3-1 wide DM up until I badgered Juventus to the point where they gave me Gonzalo Higuain at the price I wanted to pay ($70 mil). Team's still getting used to playing with an extra striker and not an AMC, but it's really coming around. Here's what my usual lineup looks like now.

Key bench guys include Christian Pulicic, Renato Sanches, and David Silva, who all get a fair amount of first team looks. Other bench guys include Olivier Giroud, Joel Matip, Jon Flanagan, Emiliano Insua, Axel Witsel, Thiago Maia, and Branislav Ivanovic.

Divock Origi and Sadio Mane are total gods in this edition. Origi's good for a goal a game on average, Mane just blisters down the right side and feeds Origi (and now Higuain) tasty crosses and gets about an assist per game. Defense became really solid with the additions of Gimenez and Dier, and ter Stegen is a rock in net.

I'd like to start again.  But I really, REALLY burnt myself out on it last year.

Good: Taking AFC Wimbledon up from Sky Bet League One to the Prem in two years was a rush.

Bad: They get absolutely bent over by Chelsea and Leicester in their first two games

Ugly: I took the first big job out of there I could (AS Monaco). :bag:

Anyone ever played the mobile version?  I'm sure it's watered down, but I'm rarely around my PC and always around my phone.

Fired this up for the footy fix, still running 2016

Couple interesting items;

Pep was hired and fired at Man City AND Everton :lmao:

Got a good Grujic in this save..filthy all around player

Sturridge being Sturridge is hurt all.the.time. Got pissed, went out and bought Paulo Dybala(100M  ) in the winter of 2017 ...6 goals in 4 games.

Spurs won the league with Bolotelli scoring 16 goals for them

That said feeling you get when you play cardiff and your team talk options include "we need to avenge cardiff for what happened last game"

:(

Some people call us nerds for enjoying this game. I get that. However, none of you...NONE OF YOU HATERS...will understand the thrill of being able to say the following and for it to be true:

"I just signed Cristiano Ronaldo on a free to play for defending Champions League titleholders Real Oviedo."

I love this game but totally burned myself out last year and can't seem to make it 2 hours now.  Biggest issue I have with the game is that it just takes too long.  But then that's part of the appeal....maybe i need to just fire it up again.

I'm 2+ seasons into FM17 with Atlético.  I play on Linux, so I can't use any 3rd party scouting apps.  34 games into the 2018-2019 season and I am in a fight to the death against Real for the la liga title.  I´m unbeaten, although I have 9 draws.  Real has like 4 draws and 2 losses.  I'm also up against them in CL semis.  In the span of 8 days, I'll play them 3x, once in the "Estadio de Madrid" (aka Metropolitano) and the last two in the Bernabéu.  This will make or break the season.

Real is waaaaay deeper than my squad.  I've successfully retained Griezmann and added Mahrez on the opposite wing.  Adrien Silva has replaced a 35 year old Gabi in the center of the park alongside Koke.  Saúl got poached by Chelsea after one season, and Carrasco by Man City after the 2nd.  Both came in for 80m€ transfer fees.

I've found quite a few good youngsters, mostly strikers and wingers.  Hard to find quality young central midfield talent IMO, and even harder to find quality fullbacks.  I have like 8 Brazilian or Argentinean 18-19 year olds out on loan to other Spanish teams to help them gain citizenship (2 years).  Thomas Buitink and Bruno Soares looks pretty damn good.  Kuki hasn't quite developed as fast as I thought he would.

Surprised there is no talk about FM19. I'm only about 40 hours in so far, but I like it better than 18. Big boost for training, and I like the tactics better too. The AI picks up on how you play and you can't just set and forget. I have also found that squad rotation is important.

Been playing this quite a bit again..Getting Mbappe while still having Mane and Salah was, not fair...

2022/23 to 2030/31 he led the league in goals  -

What edition are you playing? I haven't fired it up in a long time. If I get laid off, I'm hit that #### like it owes me money.

I’m playing FM Touch 19 on my iPad. Starting in the Conference North as the perfect team for me, Blyth Spartans (they even wear green and white! 😍)

FM 20 was the first version in almost a decade that I didn’t buy in any form, as I’ve started saves but not really gotten hooked over the last few years. That might just be what’s happening again, but if I get stuck at home long enough, maybe the Spartans will conquer England.

I don’t remember FM being this easy.

My Spartans have won their first 9 league games, outscored opponents 23-4, and are already 10 points clear of 2nd (which is good because there’s only one automatic promotion spot, 2-7 go to a playoff for another).

The really weird thing is I literally haven’t had a single injury. Not that I miss the carnage FM usually creates, but this seems unrealistic.

I had a similar experience on my ipad version.  I won a lot more than usual.

I think the desktop version is the only one with a realistic game engine.

BTW, I'd love to fire up an fbguys multiplayer competition while we're all quarantined for a month.
