I didn't know in which forum this belonged, but I wanted to get it off my chest. Man, this is an excellent service. I've played FF for 12 seasons (with a brief interruption of 5 years back when I found that I was taking it a tad too seriously!) and I've been a commissioner for most of those. I've been very lucky in advancing to the superbowl 3/4ths of the time and winning it 1/2. I've spent many, many hours doing research, and living and dying with the box scores. And I've spent money on other services (I just don't have the time to do all the leg work on research any more--shameful as that is!). But--and I know we are only barely into week 1--so far, Footballguys.com blows everything else away. The web page is simple but intuitive (without all the totally unnecessary bells and whistles of some of the competitors--do they really think I want to use a service because their home page is pretty?) and it is so easy to find the info you want. I will always keep my own counsel when it comes to who to draft, start, and pick up, but the info here is extremely helpful. Though I think my draft really sucked this year (my fault!).
Funny thing about how I discovered Footballguys: it was the Google cache! I would search for a player and inevitably one of the hits would be the Footballguys review. You can't access because it's only for subcribers, but you could get to it by hitting the cached page! On the one hand, you might think that's giving away the info for free (well, I guess it is!); but, on the other, it's what impressed me and made me sign up. I found myself liking the stuff I found so much I had to buy it.
I'm just so pleasantly surprised by how well this service works that I wanted to make a public acknowledgement and thanks to the folks who do the work. And, no, I am in no way affiliated with Footballguys.com (though I do remember Joe Bryant from back in the days when the fantasy football usenet group was actually fun).
Now back to figuring out if I should start Kevin Jones or Amhan Green this week (told you my draft didn't go well!)...
