Man that's gotta be tough. Great radio show though.Tim was off today. He has to be devastated. He and Seau graduated USC together in 1989. Tweet your good thoughts to him if you are so inclined: @TimRyan99

I guess it is just preference...I am a Jets fan, and giggle every time someone calls into Sirius and "thanks" Pat for the time he spent with the NYJ...the team was at its worst then and J-E-T-S then used to mean "Just End The Season". Honestly, 1989-1997 were some of the darkest days for my Jets. I don't mean to pile on him, but he was an adequate FO guy, and he lets clueless callers stay on waaaay to long. I personally like Schein; the schtick is the schtick; if you can get beyond that (and I understand why some cannot), he runs a very efficient show, and personally favor his show (though I do think he benefits from having a guy like Gannon versus the talent others have).I never shut Sirius NFL radio off... EXCEPT when Schein is on. The only reason he wants callers is to use them to get to his own points. If he agrees it's a "brilliant call" and if not he tries to tear them down. Ross Tucker is the same way, but at least he doesn't have the annoying shtick. Ryan and Kirwan are great hosts, treat callers as A) people who can comprehend what they are talking about and B) with respect which puts them over Schein or any other NYC sports radio show for that matter.I loved it when Horowietz started talking about the "Giselle kissing someone other than Tom Brady" story and when he went to PK for a response he said "Yea, we dont care on this show" and changed the topic... gold, absolute gold."Just talkin ball" ... the way sports radio should be.
First time I heard him I thought, "What in the world is Emeril Lagase doing on MTC?"
not sticking up for Pat, but most people saw that draft that way. and there are a lot of #1 picks that had far worse careers then keyshawn. totally agree, i can't stand schein. it got to the point i won't really listen if he is on, i'll listen to mad dog instead. schein is an over opionionated blow hard.'Penguin said:I like to hear Kirwan talk about some of the contract stuff and other front office dealings. Tim is the football guy of the two and I love his knowledge of the game. Kirwan was the guy that drafted Keyshawn Johnson #1I hate Adam Schein though, just can't listen to him.
Yeah, last week one of the "truckers" (can't remember if it was Dan, John, etc.) was on and was crying (Rock and PK apparently visited him in the hospital in the past)...I would sure hate to step into those shoes.Apparently Tim Ryan has taken a bigger gig with FoxSports1 (and doing Fox NFL games) so he's leaving Moving the Chains.
Hope that Jim Miller isn't the permanent replacement.

Terrible news about the split. But I do like Miller so maybe he can ease the pain.Apparently Tim Ryan has taken a bigger gig with FoxSports1 (and doing Fox NFL games) so he's leaving Moving the Chains.

I get the feeling Pat and Tim love Adrian, so I think he is a fixture. Dude can be annoying when he gets into his Steeler homer mode, but he does know his football.Bammy must be crushed.
The good news is that maybe now fat Adrian in the 'burgh won't call EVERY DAY.
