it appears that many are ready to bail on LJ. of course, this is silly given his schedule, hold out, and the lack of healthy, non-time splitting RBs in the league.
for further evidence, let's check out his 1st 5 games in 2006:
68 rushing yards in week 1, then 126, 101, 36, 26. he had 4 total TDs (3 rushing), but didn't get his 1st until week 4. he had some nice recieving games, but he's still very active in the passing game this season, too.
obviously, 2006 was a better start than 2007, but 2 sub-40 yard games wasn't exciting. oh, and in 2006, he didn't face a decent run defense until week 6 against pittsburgh.
i wouldn't bet my life that he'll finish in the top 3 (i wouldn't bet against either), but anyone trading him for less than top 8 value will regret it. after 3 seasons of leading fantasy teams to championships during the 2nd half of the season, i think this man has earned the benefit of the doubt. it's not like the fantasy world didn't see this coming. i'm buying. i only own him in one league and i'm trying to change that.
