Frank Gore Sell High (1 Viewer)

Curious what kind of offers people are making and/or receiving.

QBs: I would only think about Carson Palmer...assuming Peyton is unrealistic

RBs: I'd listen to Willie Parker, Cadillac, Westbrook

WRs: Driver, Santana Moss, Reggie Wayne

TE: Gates

I have Driver in a couple of leagues and I would deal him in a heartbeat for Gore. I know in one of my leagues, the Gore owner passed on getting Randy Moss for him straight up.

You'd have to be a stupid owner to trade one of those RB's for Gore. But there are idiots out there.

I'm a Gore owner and am very pleased with his peformance, but the reality is his injury history makes him a significant risk.

Moss is also an injury risk . . . and, by the way he's been babbling in the press, he will mail it in after they go 1-4 . . . he's all yours . . .

I would rather have Gore than Moss
Based on ADP, dealing Gore for Moss would be a heist after just one week. Isn't that the purest example of selling high.

It is a heist if Gore doesn't perform to the levels that he is capable of and Moss reverts to his glory days in Minnesota. Moss hasn't shown anything for a couple of years and Gore has displayed in the preseason and game 1 that he has serious talent and is capable of putting up big numbers in Turner's offense. Player's values change as the season progresses. Just because Moss was drafted higher in your league than Gore doesn't automatically mean that his value/worth is higher than Gore's today.

Moss and Brooks sure look horrendous tonight.

Parker for Gore isn't that big of a stretch imho.

Probably not, but I'd take FWP easily. Better team and Parker doesn't have Gore's injury history. 2 reconstructive knee & shoulder surgeries scare me.

Yes, but this is the problem. ADP is ADP. What makes you beat the next guy in fantasy is not sticking to ADP, but deviating from it and being right.

I'd rather have moss. Not all D lines tackle like the cardinals. Moss will win you a few games this year, as the raiders will be losing many. many games late and be playing catch up. All he has to do is catch a deep ball ortwo and Moss is still amazing. Then again. Brooks is just horrible.

Don't want the thread to focus too much on Moss. I was just trying to get a feel for where his value is. Throw out any names you like. For example, in my original posting, I mentioned Gates and Wayne.

To answer your question, I'd rather have Gore.....Than Moss. :bag:

I have the GORE/M-ROB combo in a few leagues and wouldnt take nothing short of Ronnie Brown/SJAX or maybe Maroney and something for him.

Otherwise im holding him in my dynasty.

Gore's value has risen after Week 2, so I thought this topic could use a little bump.

Is Gore's value at it's peak right now?

In his next 8 weeks, Gore faces 4 of the top 10 rush defenses (Philly, San Diego, Chicago, Seattle) and has a bye. He could easily come down to earth and/or get hurt.

Is anyone dealing Gore before Week 3? For who?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on Gates for Gore.

I've been offered Steve Smith for him, and I'm waiting on the report from Dr. Andrews before I pull the trigger, or not.

I have him in a keeper league, and for me to get rid of him at this point would take more than any sane FF owner would be willing to give.

As a 49er homer and Gore owner, I'd have a hard time giving him up without getting S. Alexander, LT or Rudi Johnson back. I certainly would expect to have to add more value to the deal to get one of those guys, but that's how much I like Gore.

I'll just ride Frank Gore to the championship. That sounds like the best move. Your best move is your non move.

I was just offered L Fitzgerald for Gore.
Do it. Fitz is going to finish top five WR.Gore has a horrible history with his knees.Worst that could happen is that Gore stays healthy and both of you end up with great players.More likely, though, you'll have a stud receiver, and he'll be looking to pick up Michael Robinson.

i have been offered the following for gore (add, most of these trades involve more than 2 players, im just listing the meat of the trade)...

ronnie brown

lamont jordan

edge and d-jax

i declined them all. i WOULD trade gore, i just didnt find any of these trades helpful or an overwhelming upgrade.

both my main leagues are redraft, in a dynasty/keeper, i think i contemplate the brown trade a bit more.

-biz-

I was a Gore owner and just made this trade.

Portis, Eli and Benson (I own T Jones)

for

Gore, Dante C and Stallworth

I HOPE I bought low on Portis and sold high on Gore.

please explain why you would trade the feature back on a team that feeds him the ball, in a vastly improved offence, with no competition for carries. It would take something like C. Taylor and Plax for me to consider it. Until I see something else, he is a top 5 back IMO.

Was just offered Portis for Gore...I'm 2-0 with a stable of adequate RB's (McGahee, Gore, FWP, Addai).

At first I wanted to jump all over it. But now I'm not so sure.

Leaning towards making the deal, if only because I can't see any way Portis doesn't at least equal Gore's output the rest of the year with the 'X' factor obviously being his health. But I think Portis has the higher ceiling than Gore.

Would I be crazy one way or the other on this offer?

In my keeper league, I was just offered Gates for Gore. I own LT/Edge so currently Gore is my 3rd back and playing during the week 3 bye. I don't feel like I can take the RB hit, and you can't win most leagues with only 2 backs. We'll see but Gore's Injury history makes it extremely tempting.

Put the Gates owner on hold until someone steps up behind Gore.

Gore owner here. Portis has Duckett and Betts to steal carries, at least at the goalline. I think Gore will get all the touches as long as he is healthy.

If you are thin at a position, maybe trade Gore. Otherwise, I would ride him. Just my 2 cents.

Did you watch the game vs. minnesota?bum shoulder and all Portis got the goal line carries. no one is stealing jack from Portis if he is in the game, period.

I just dealt Gore today i still have him in another, but i think all of the glowing Gore success is blinding FF'rs of his injury past. No better time than now IMO

I Accepted: Gore/Wayne - Alexander/Glenn today. It's on the site as a poll, but the vote is at 3-3. I never thought i'd get an offer like this one.

good luck ;)

If Portis plays this week against the Texans, the offer will be withdrawn. You must act fast.

Exactly. All this talk about losing carries is out of hand. As long as he is healthy Portis is going to get the rock and the goal line carries.
