Fred Davis on WW (1 Viewer)

So, Fred David is sitting on the WW. I dont need him , I have Gates and Hernandez. But if it were you, would you grab him anyway? He is ranked as a top 15 TE so why leave him sitting around to be used against you later tight?

Which brings me to the real question. Sleeper depth of your roster versus limiting the competition...which way do you lean? Sitting on a rookie RB for half a season may pay off but in the meantime your opponents fix their drafting mistakes and improve their teams. So How often do you pick up a WW you dont need to keep him off another roster?

It is a tough balance, I have my eye on "potentials" I want... mark clayton, powell but I can stand Davis sitting there with teams fielding Clark/ZMiller or teams with 1 TE that will need the bye week fill

Have a similar situation in my league with Gresham on the wire (I already have Finley and Pettigrew). Haven't done it though as I like the rest of my team as is. If you have a guy who's pretty much never going to play for your team and is dead space, no reason not to pick up a guy and get better talent IMO.

Agreed. Gresham would be an easier decision for I think. I tried for him on my other league but he didnt make it to me. FDavis isnt quite as clear cut IMO.

But at what point do you decide to sacrifice depth to grab the "best" talent available, similar to drafting.

The TE position is so deep this year, I am not sure there is a real benefit to picking up a 3rd TE if you can only play 1.

Might be a great wk 2 play...Grossman coming off very good week, while the rookie shredded the 'Zona defense in week 1...I love the move and the play this week.
