Fuentes (1 Viewer)

Everything ok with this guy? His last 3 save opportunities have been
Ok this guy is done. Who's the next closer in Colorado?
Fuentes has been nails for a year and a half - if he gets dumped in any leagues I would take a look at him. this is just temporary (unless he's hurt).
 I just picked him up in my league after he got dropped. Guy has been a stud all season. Seems like the Rockies still have faith in him too.
Rocked again. If this guy isn't hurt, this could be one of the most intriguing breakdowns in a long while........

 point taken. I was thinking more along the lines of that former Cards pitcher whose name has escaped me......

Well, he made the all-star team; maybe that will straighten him out. my closers are imploding one by by one (ray, wickman..and i also had bj ryan)

We hold onto Fuentes and hope, right?

Steve Blass invented the disease that inflicted Ankiel. He woke up one day and couldn't throw a strike.

Isn't he in double or triple A as an OF now?

YepAAA Memphis and he's tearing it up down there. .271 / .309 / .575. Currently 2nd in the PCL with 22HRs. That OBP is pretty dreadful though. You'd think someone that threw so many pitches out of the strike zone could recognize a ball when it's throw to him and take it.

From Rotoworld...

Brian Fuentes has temporarily been pulled from the closer's role after blowing four straight save chances.

As terrific as he's been in the past, it shouldn't take much more than one good week to get Fuentes his job back. Still, right now it might be best to back off him a bit. "I don't see where putting him in the extreme, intense innings right now is going to help him," manager Clint Hurdle said. "We'll back him out of that and see if he can just get back into good form." Manny Corpas could be the favorite for saves through the All-Star break.

Tough offenses for the Rocks in the Mets and Phils prior to the break. I wouldn't go breaking the bank on Corpas.

I would hold out until after the break and see how Fuentes fairs.
