High Sunday around 20, so game time temps will be in mid teens.

I dont think it matters much in this game, 2 cold weather city teams...actually 4 counting the NFCs.

Early forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and a high of 21 in Chicago with light winds around 5mph.

Fine weather for football given the location and time of year.

Originally they were calling for a high of 17 and snow showers and the last time I checked this morning they said 25 and clear. I am sure it will be cold but the forecast could change twenty times between now and Sunday.

As I posted in the Sanchez thread.... Mark still has very few real cold games under his belt in his entire playing experience....

Packers have had three of their last four out of doors in Northern Cities. McCarthy has the doors on the Don Hutson Practice Center Open and the temp. in there is just below 32 degrees. He also plans on having them out on Nitschke Field this week. The packers should be fine.

As for the Bears, well they played in Minnesota and Greenbay in the last month, as well as on their craptastic field in the snow this week in a tune up game against Div. II competition. They should be cmfortable.

Sounds like about as nice a day as one could ever expect for Pitt. in January. I bet Pitt. fans would hope for worst weather as Roethlisberger's experience advantage might be magnified thereby.

I am going to be sitting in it so I wouldn't mind at all if the temp was in the 70s!

He played well in PIT, CHI, and NE in recent weeks. I wouldnt worry about cold weather anymore

I think cold weather helps a defense since the hits sting a little more and it's hard to shake it off. I think it's an advantage for Pittsburgh.

Current projected game time temperature is around 13-14 degrees, with it feeling around eight degrees colder than that. Just brutally cold.

High of 17, low of 4, so brutally cold would be a good description.I'm glad I've done some skiing. I'm pulling out all my extreme weather stuff and hoping it will be enough to keep me somewhat comfortable. Layers, layers, and more layers. :)

High of 20 degrees is not cold? Sorry, you are wrong.
Wow! Does that link suck.I've been to 10 Bears games alone that have been colder than what they have as 10th.
 What in the hell is that link supposed to prove?

I live 50 miles north of Pittsburgh. It was supposed to be 7 F here last night. It turned out to be -7 F. They are calling for 2 F Sunday evening now. It's going to be cold. Sanchez will be wishing that he's back in California after Harrison hits him early.

The coldest game I was ever at, was an XFL game at the Meadowlands, and it was brutal; but GD if those cheerleaders weren't still in mini-skirts.

Yep, was -9 here. I don't care what anyone says, Sunday night's game is going to very, very cold.

anything below freezing is cold
This time or year, 20 degrees anywhere around the Great Lakes is balmy.
:( Especially when there isn't much wind. I was at Lambeau for a game and it was 15 out, sunny and no wind. It wasn't bad. I was at a game in KC in 96 when the Packers lost there. It was in the upper 30s, raining, and windy. That was damn cold!

Where I'm from, 1.5hr from lake Ontario, a high of 20 this time of the year is typical... The wind is the tough part, and the precipitation you get off the lake.. "Lake Effect Snow"

:X Temps don't mean as much as wind, rain or snow in terms of playing conditions.

guess you told him ...

I love it. We've run out of un-winnable arguments to have about players (which QB is better, etc), so we've moved on to un-winnable arguments about what's "cold?"

I live in Buffalo. I know wind. And snow. Not Syracuse levels of it, but I've seen the bare ground once this winter.

anything below freezing zero is cold
Fixed for the men in the forum. Seriously though anything in the teens and low 20's with little wind isn't that cold and shouldn't have much of an impact on the game. Now had they played Friday with temps in the single digits and wind chills in the teens below zero...that is a different story.

Forecasts are running from 16-20 for Chicago, and it's usually slightly warmer at the lakefront this time of year. The cold will not be an issue and there's not much wind in the forecast. Fine football weather.

Average temp this coming week in buffalo projects high teens, low to mid 20's....And by the way, I'm from the Buffalo area myself..I know it could be colder, but 10-20 degrees (which is what has been projected) is cold. Certainly isn't T-Shirt weather.

No, we're addressing the short bus crowd that thinks 20 degrees in Chicago (in January) is cold.
10-20 degrees, averaged that's 15... But carry on with your brilliant insults over the difference in perspective as it relates to weather... :goodposting: Edit to add:

Btw, I looked up the average temps of Chicago in January

High of 31, low of 16... So when 10-20 is the forecast in Chicago, in January, yea that's colder than the average.

Where is the forecast of 10 degrees? :excited:

I don't know about Chicago, but the avg temps for Pittsburgh are a high of 35 and a low of 19. The weather channel right now is saying a high of 14 and a low of zero, with wind chills in the low single digits most of the day. That's cold.

Where is the forecast of 10 degrees? :lmao:
is this it?

Anything at this point though huh? lol Just give it up, it's a stupid arrangement, and you were wrong anyways...

this one says 13-20...

This one says low of 6° tonight, to high of 19° tomorrow, and a low of 12° tomorrow night

14-21 w/snow

11-18 with snow

another 13-20

Sorry pal, none with an average of 20... pretty much a slim chance of you proving a point here...

Easy what you call cold... You have to get permission to use that word around here evidently...

Carolina Hustler's the clubhouse leader for FBG Meteorologist of the Year, 2011.

:lmao: pal!

But don't worry all of you other aspiring FBG Meteorologists, there's still 11 months and 8 days left in the year. So there's still plenty of time.

Got kinda sucked in... lol.. I know it's a stupid argument but all the snipers piling on so I figured I'd jump in on the side of the underdog.. Poor guy was getting ":owned:" by Keaton.. Ridiculous why anyone would need to be ":owned:", much less by Keaton...

MIN plays in a dome. (wasn't ventilated until after he left) It was most likely the team atmosphere he was referring to.
