GAME 1 Has Arrived: The New England Patriots Vs. The Kansas City Chiefs (2 Viewers)

not really. The Patriots could be run on last year and with them obviously doing the right thing by taking away Hill and Kelce, this isn't surprising.
While true, you have to give this Hunt kid some props. He shook off a disastrous fumble, is running tough and effectively, with power and elusiveness.

I'll side with you and say that Cook/CMC are more likely candidates, but doesn't take away from what Hunt is showing out there at all.

Broken neck?
No Butler was covering the receiver in the end zone who wants to cut back inside but can't through Butlers position. Both were running straight to the end zone so Butlers back was to the ball when it arrived and was called for interference.

Just saying I don't think Butler was trying to interfere with him and if he had been able to turn around, he maybe would be ok and not called for interference.

Yeah, he's doing well. He's showing well. Just not surprising given how the patriots operate to take away opposing team's players.

Only on pace for 800 combined yards. Roger is not going to be happy with this. It's supposed to the Outdoor Arena League, fellas!

Isn't this how all teams operate?
Surprisingly, no. It amazes me how many games I watch every year where I find myself saying "they have one guy and you're doing nothing to stop him". Happens all the time, especially when its an in-game adjustment (looking RIGHT at you, Detroit Lions).

Well, everybody BUT the Lions

Using Hightower as a DE seems like a mistake too. He's not big enough to beat right tackles. He's been invisible tonight.

HUNT

Bellcow/Primary back? Check

Share of goalline love? Check

Invovled in passing game / check downs? Check

I'm a little surprised they are using Hunt THIS much. Over the years, I've seen games where Jamaal Charles never sniffed this much involvement in the game.  Makes me wonder if Gilmore's presence is going to be HUGE. He's basically cutting off half the field out there, allowing the Pats to take away everything except the running game and short passes.
