GAME 1 Has Arrived: The New England Patriots Vs. The Kansas City Chiefs (1 Viewer)

I like how the Chiefs are utilizing Tyreek Hill thus far.  Maximizing the effect he has on the defense by lining him up in different spots, faking plays his direction, putting him in motion, etc.  Amazing how much an offensive mind like Reid can get out of a talent like Hill while similarly skilled players have died on the preverbial NFL vine.

I mean, it's about time he hit on a guy with that type of skill-set. Couldn't do too much with Dexter McCluster, or DeAnthony Thomas. Feel like there was someone else too. He's clearly wanted this type of weapon since he got to the Chiefs

seem to be missing Blount on these short yardage plays
Yep. Gillislee seems to be the guy best suited for the power game, but given the constant rotation the Pats use depending on down and distance, wonder if Gillislee gets the kind of volume to get him going in that role. Sometimes power backs need to pound away and get better as the game goes on as the D wears down. Not sure Gillislee gets that chance in this offense.

I mean the standards are low vs Brady. 1 TD, 1 stop and 1 FG is alright. It all comes down to KC's offense, just the way the NFL wants it. Gonna take 35+ to win so start here and get the lead and go from there.

Process wise, in the 1st quarter is there a reason to go for it on 4th and 1 up 7-0 vs kicking the FG a bit later tied 7-7?

They need to quit dickin around and just feature White.

signed,

-white owner
White is a good player. He was a guy who forced a time share with Melvin Gordon and (less impressively) Montee Ball in Wisconsin. 1st and 2nd round picks by the NFL respectively.

Often overlooked and marginalized, but obviously White has some abilities to send some very good RB to the bench.

I recall a few games owning Blount last year where he was something like 10/17/1 through 2.5 quarters, but ended up with 20 carries and a nice fantasy statline. Maybe Gill owners can consistently get the same bump late in games the pats are winning.

Andy's clever (terrible) play calling haunts him that time.

i don't mind trick plays on 1st down, but a trick play to your TE3 seems misguided.
