Game of Thrones, tv only, books don't exist, no backstory...NERDS already ruining a series that hasn't started (6 Viewers)

Varys deep state leakers seemed to be in the prior administration.  It isn't obvious that any of them would have survived the big bang. jmo

Apparently, Emilia Clark "has a filthy, filthy mind when she wants to"...

https://www.yahoo.com/news/emilia-clarke-really-felt-shooting-231517321.html

Kit on Emilia

On the first time he met Emilia: "I remember vividly the first time I met Emilia, which was in the hotel bar in Belfast, before season one. I was sort of bowled over by this absolutely stunning, petite girl with this wicked sense of humor. We became very fast friends quite quickly."

On what people don't know about Emilia: "Emilia is so sweet, so giving, but she also has a filthy, filthy mind when she wants to."

Emilia on Kit

On his romance with Rose Leslie: "We like to spread the love on our show. It's a beautiful thing. She's one of my best friends, so it's good."

On what it's like to go out with Kit: "It's always been funny going out with Kit, because he's so recognizable. We went to a FKA Twigs gig and it was mental. I went to the loo and in the cubicle on either side the girls were like, 'That's Jon Snow out there! Don't know who that random girl is . . .'"

On rumors that she's dating Kit: "[It] literally makes me want to cry, it's so far from the truth."

On finally filming her first Game of Thrones scene with Kit: "Both of us were going, 'Ah what are you doing on my set?' This is weird! Usually you start working on a movie and meet (a costar) for the first time and you develop chemistry on screen over time. Here, you know somebody for seven years and you've watched their character on screen all that time. So it's a unique experience as an actor to come together and know the world is watching."

Can someone with a few free minutes give a timeline of the dagger currently is Arya's possession?

From what I can recall - it was used in an attempt on Bran's life, Lady Stark fought off the attacker and Summer killed him.  Littlefinger claimed that the dagger was his, but he lost it to Tyrion some time ago.  That's all I remember.

Then Littlefinger gave it to Bran last night, who then gave it to Arya.  But I feel like I'm missing quite a lot (like 6 seasons in the middle).  Thanks.

Add Varys too.  3 Eunuchs and a Red Lady.  It'd be like that show with Zoey Deschanel where she is roommates with 3 other guys.
Three goofy guys and a lady share not only a house, but also one another's troubles.  Come see the Red Lady, Varys, Theon and Grey Worm in the fantastically funny sitcom "####less"

Sorry to veer off course here, but as I'm still catching up on everything, I noticed something that i don't know if it's been addressed, or if I'm just way off base; I couldn't help but see more than a passing physical resemblance between Gendry and Podrick. Is it known anywhere or even possible if/that they're related?

Quite the send off Meera Reed got. Not even a gold plated dire wolf broach or anything, just "thanks, maybe I'll creep on you long distance through the trees sometime". Doubt we see her dragging anymore crippled kids to the north pole and back.

That's asking a bit much of Arya.  Considering the Night King lost 100s of his fighters from jumping off a cliff I doubt he'd have a problem sacrificing another 100 to smother Arya.

As to Arya going North vs. South, I can easily see her putting off her revenge to be bodyguard to Jon.
Asking a bit much from Arya?  She has proven capable of every task she has taken on, most of them pretty ambitious.  Kingslaying is right up the alley of a faceless assassin.  Starks protect the North.  Arya is the last remaining fighting Stark.  The scene of her closing the distance on the Night King will be amazing.  She already has at least one extra life in that her direwolf will return to save her from certain demise.  Brienne and Pod are ready and willing to take one for Team Arya as well.

I don't see Jon needing a bodyguard considering he's already dead and will probably be riding a dragon when he returns to Winterfell.

Jorah could very well end up in Winterfell with Sam's sword as well.

I got them confused often.  Podrick reminds me of Krispy Kreme.

OK OK.  I'm convinced.  haha

thanks for clipping that before my autocorrect edit  :D

yeah, Dany disarmed them - true.
Doing some quick internet searches, I was a bit confused.

Jon does have the Mormont sword, Longclaw, with the white bear on the hilt with him and yes Dany's holding it for him.

I thought Jon had two special swords though...I don't know what he did with the other one...can someone set me straight?

Snow seems like the type of kid who will want to gift it 'back' to Jorah upon the latter's arrival at Dragonstone.

Pretty sure Mormont had the bear replaced with a wolf's head before it gave it to Jon. I'd have to go back and look tho. I don't see Jon giving this up.

Looking back, there was an episode when the Red Woman took Gendry. When Arya confronted the Red Woman she looked into Arya's eyes and saw death as well as other sets of eyes of different colors. She then said we'll meet again!

Now, after telling the QOD about Jon, she's on top of that hill she mentions that she would be back because she has to die there.

This make perfect since now as Arya was not yet who she is now.

Good catch, and she and Cersei are pretty much the only ones left on Arya's list.

I know the Hound isn't dead, but Arya thinks he is.  The executioner hasn't had a role since Season 2.  The Mountain is technically dead and reanimated.

That's another long haul for Arya, but it still makes more sense for her to go there instead of King's Landing.

Sir Gregor is a battle meant for the Hound, and Cersei's wrap up would make more sense involving Jamie and Tyrion rather than Arya.

i think once Snow hears Jorah's entire history with Dany, coupled with the fact that his closest friend (Sam) just healed Jorah's stone skin at the Citadel,  he makes the overture.  it seems right in the wheelhouse of Jon's nature.

perhaps Jorah declines at first, but somehow 'earns' it back.

I don't think he was trying to kill Drogon with the arrows....he was volleying in an attempt to hit Dany.  I think Drogon rearing up and allowing the arrows to bounce off his chest reinforced that.
I got it. Right there with you. But, it is silly to me to no think of the one weapon MADE to neutralize Drogon until all else fails. Even if he killed Dany, Drogon could very easily decide to fry and eat every single little human he saw.

Maybe we will get a lucky shot? Nope. Darn. Ok, let's use the weapon that we built to stop him and see if that works.

Dude got caught offguard.

Maybe Jamie, while once a remarkable swordsman, is, like a lot in the realm have either said or hinted at, overrated as a tactician/commander.
I guess I could go with that explanation. Though... I mean, it doesn't seem like you would need to be a Alexander the Great reincarnate to think "Oh yea, that one thing we have with us just in case a dragon shows up.....let's give that thing a try now"

agreed.

i wasn't even aware that they had it in tow 'til they cranked it out ... then i was all "WTF WERE YOU WAITING FOR!!1!"  :loco:

Just watched scene with the Red witch and Arya.  Red witch says "Brown eyes, blue eyes, green eyes.  Eye's you'll shut forever."  Was she referencing Arya's own eyes going blind or could she see the eyes of all those Arya would eventually kill? Ol' blue eyes is right smack dab in the middle there.  Does the Red Witch have green eyes?  Cersei does.

My favorite part was how the anti-fire-breathing dragon ballista was made out of wood.  I thought the one Qyburn showed Cersei was all metal?

They saw the rushing horsemen before the dragon and put up their shield wall.  By the time Dracor showed up they couldn't just drop the line to go grab the missile launcher.

Ned took it from Cat when she was in King's Landing.  Littlefinger apparently snagged it back after he betrayed Ned and has seemingly had it since.

Additional info from bound paper thingies:

Catelyn found out that Littlefinger lied to her about the dagger only after she interrogated Jaime Lannister. Jaime bluntly admitted that he pushed Bran from the window in attempt to kill him, but claimed that neither he nor Cersei nor Tyrion had anything to do with the assassin; both Tyrion and Jaime pointed out the key flaw in Littlefinger's story- Tyrion couldn't have won the dagger in a gambling bet because he never bet against Jaime in such circumstances.

When asked about the dagger, Jaime remembered that Littlefinger bet and lost it - to Robert, not to Tyrion. Jaime admits that he and Cersei considered having Bran killed, but given the fact Catelyn was in his bed chamber at all times and the room was guarded, it would have meant murdering their way through half of Winterfell's population to reach Bran, and they concluded there was no need when it seemed more likely that Bran would die of his injuries from the fall.

In A Storm of Swords, Tyrion and Jaime independently deduce that it was Joffrey who sent the assassin:

After Joffrey uses his new sword to cut the book Tyrion gave him at his wedding, he says "I am no stranger to Valyrian steel." That strange comment makes Tyrion realize it was him (discounting the only two other possible culprits, because Jaime was too proud to have another do his killing for him, while Cersei was too cunning to use a knife that could be traced back to her). Since even Joffrey was not stupid enough to use his own dagger, he went poking among his father's weapons. No doubt some diligent servant had made certain that the King's weapons went with him, in case he should desire any of them. The only thing Tyrion cannot figure out is Joffrey's motive. Recalling a nasty quarrel between Joffrey and Robb, Tyrion asks Sansa if there was any ill feeling between Bran and Joffrey, but her answer is negative. He guesses then it was mere cruelty of Joffrey.

I believe she saw Arya as the Many Face God or No Name Girl or whatever she's became.

I also noticed after watching it 3 more times the way Bran gave Arya that dagger he knows she needs it (my theory) to Kill Little Finger and Cersei. I believe Arya will take the face of Jamie and end Cersei.

I believe the weapon itself, in both instances,,was all metal... the cart that encased/transported it was wood.

That said, the spear seemed far longer and more destructive during the demo than in real life.

  the demo went through the skull, the actual went part way into a shoulder.

How she gonna know Jamie drown though?   Or is there like a news of the day raven service?

I don't believe he does drown but if he did that raven service is the fastest in the Seven Kingdoms.

Maybe she left the other two dragons back at the castle to protect it? The unsullied are at Casterly Rock, the Dothraki are in the field fighting the Lannisters. A small force of Dothraki and 2 dragons can guard a castle pretty well, don't you think? Or maybe, spending the money on only one instead of three CGI'd dragons allowed them to have a 13th episode. I don't know. Either way, what a dumb ### thing to quibble over.

With only one dragon, 1 scorpion becomes way more effective. With three dragons, no way Jaime gets anywhere near her.

Basically, there are a bunch of people in here watching one of the greatest dramas of all time and #####ing about the drama created in the show. That's like complaining of all the funny #### in a comedy. Whole lot of shuttin' up needs to happen in here. "But, but, but, I just like discussing the inconsistencies and plot holes and--" Shadup already.
