Game of Thrones, tv only, books don't exist, no backstory...NERDS already ruining a series that hasn't started (3 Viewers)

Any Body else think that will be a lot more dragons based on the teaser?

A How to train your Dragon/GoT crossover
How would there be more dragons big enough to do battle with?  I like the theory someone posted earlier about dragon armor.

HBO made fun of itself after eagle-eyed "Game of Thrones" viewers spotted a modern-day coffee cup in last night's episode.

"The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea," the company stated in a press release on Monday.

Forgot... or wasn't aware they had Dragon sized scorpions now attached to them.  I'm good with her flying around and not being "on point" in that moment above the sea.
It's my own damn fault for watching the Inside the Episode series. I was fine with Arya killing the Night King and fine with Rhaegal dying. These explanations are terrible though.

I will give the benefit of the doubt that he just misspoke, for my own personal stakes.

Dany dies.  Jon becomes King.  Jon appoints Tyrion and says he's to sit on the Iron Throne until he comes back.  Jon goes North; above the wall....and doesn't come back.

Fin.

There's a subtext that I doubt would have happened even with more time to go but would have been fun to see - Davos vs. Euron in a sea battle.

If Daenerys really does turn into her father's daughter, the mad queen, it would be a very realistic turn.  She was still reeling from the death of her close friend (Jorah), only to see one of her children (even if it was a dragon) and her best friend brutally murdered thanks to Cersei.  That would make just about anyone want to go scorched earth.

Mountain/Hound has been brewing since S1.  If there were a battle in the field and those two found each other....noone would think twice. Given the current state of the various forces (Cersei behind her walls and The Hound not part of Jons army)  It will take a little finagling on the part of the directors/writers to put them in the same room.....but with Arya wanting to get into KL to kill Cersei...it won't be that much of a stretch.
I simply don't remember The Hound/Mountain from season 1.  The Mountain is the one that burned his face right?  The Hound wants to kill him for it?

Why does Arya want the Mountain dead?  Is he the one who chopped off her Dad's head?

Any top 5 characters list that doesn't have Olenna Tyrel is epic fail (including mine in the past that might have omitted her).

S1 it was at the joust when The Mountain lost to Loras Tyrell. The Mountain cut his own horses head off and went after Tyrelll and The Hound intervened.  It was then when Littlefinger told Sansa the story of what happened when they were kids.

I think Arya wants The Mountain dead because he was in charge of the guys killing the POWs at Harrenhal in Season Two.  Several of those guys were on her list.

I could have been good with a lot of the show last night but the worst part for me was the Jamie-Brienne thing.  Let's just start with the obvious, how is he even attracted to her? Of course this guy does do his sister so maybe judgement in women is not his strong suit.

So even if we give him the benefit of the doubt that he actually likes Brienne, he went from hating being in the North to getting ready to stay and settle down with B to leaving to get back to Cersei, all in maybe a 48 hour period?  That was bad soap opera at it's finest.

Then, suspending belief that Tyrion was not a dead man right there when Cersei had a clean shot was pretty hard to do.  No way he survives there.

I don't really like what they have done with Bronn's arc.  He should have stuck it out with his bros all the way.  Going back and forth as the hired hand gives him no depth of character and it's not believable with him.

Aside from that the first part of the show, when they were all gathering in the hall was actually good TV.

Stephen King via Facebook:

Suppose--just suppose, now--that Jon and Dani BOTH died (along with Cersei, of course). Suppose--just suppose--that a certain little man with a big heart ended up sitting on the Iron Throne?

Of course for years some people have told me I don't know how to end a story. I call bull#### on that, but everyone has an opinion.
🙂

Sansa is much more likely than tyrion

I’m not sure how it’s possible as it’s a more memorable scene but happy to help https://youtu.be/VaIwtO6VWCU

At the :07 mark, can we talk about what that is that's pictured to the far right?
Oh I think you know exactly what is pictured to the far right

Also, they mentioned the Dothraki in the war council meeting, didn't they? I thought they were all gone, but apparently not?
I don't think they do by name.  4 people remove army pieces from the map.  Grey Worm and Jon speak ("half are gone").  The other 2 are silent, one looks like a Dothraki warrior removing all his army.  We saw a few Dothraki run back towards Winterfell, so there could be a few survivors.

Dude. Pay attention to stuff or stop having strong opinions about it. You're doing the same schtick in the Endgame thread
Your take is that I posted a strong opinion.  Wow.  I figured asking questions in the GOT thread would be just fine.  A guess there are always a few bad seeds that can't help themselves.  Thanks to those that answered!

So many people in here misunderstand Bronn's character imo, if they think that scene was not like him. Think I hit on that yesterday though so I'll shut up about it.

You lose, good day sir.

No idea who Craster or Robin Arryn are.

I mean it's gotta be schtick.  I love ya, Duck Fan Brotha, but this is some stinky bait or else you're clueless.  Either don't jump in threads 10 years late, or stop trolling.  Either way it's annoying.

I'm just saying he didn't make the trip so unless he goes Luke Skywalker he's done in this series.
I think the pattern of the season fits that next week will be battle, Ep6 will be resolution and catching up with most of the characters - so I still think we see Brienne, Sansa, Bran again.

Not schtick, you don't have to respond if you find it annoying

You're asking elementary questions in two threads:

1) with around 15 years and 21 movies of backstory and

2) around 3800 pages + 3 tv seasons of backstory

and you want answers.  Watch/read the source material and/or previous books/seasons.  Or check out some summary videos on youtube.  Don't think you can just waltz in and ask these questions and get decent answers.  Your answers would breed more questions, more answers, ad infinitum.  Again, I'm not trying to insult you but it's off-putting to people who have invested in the stories even to a minimal degree.

Of course it is.  This is what he does in any popular culture thread.

Nah, much quicker to ask in here.  I have gotten some helpful answers from half of the responders.
