were the dudes rowing all the other boats cloaked like that? Keeping warm at the shore? I tend to think there's a reason for everything in this show and likely not a completely random extra.
The dude with Craters son was the same dude on the dock at the end. Know you guys don't want any back story but there's nonspoiler info out there on the WW and the undead. It does figure that they have 20mins of CGI zombies and everybody gets their GoT boners back.![]()
Joking aside, I am not usually one to get caught up stuff like that, but I even enjoyed that last battle. Good times. I still think the other plots could have moved more, and that overall this season has been a dud, but gives me hope that it is ramping up.
I am not a huge fan of the walking skeletons, but those kids were creepy as hell. Brought me back to that great opening scene of the very first episode. I am still not sure WTF they are doing with the zombie hoards, as it seems they are slightly different every time (unless I am missing something). We see the creepy things in the first episode, then the animated dead bodies at the wall that attacked the commander, then we see a slow moving army seemingly heading toward the wall, then the dude with Craster's son, then independant skeleton zombies way north attacking Bran, now a mixed bag of an army controlled by the White Walkers that look nothing like what Sam encountered. Just expecting them to be flying by the time we see them next.
Yeah, he seemed super focused on untying some ropes or something...gave no ####s about wights. You didn't notice anything, other than the fact that he seems completely unfazed by the thousand zombies right behind him while he has the boat docked?I didn't even notice a random dude doing nothing at the end.I re watched again last night and still have no idea what they're talking about. If it's the lifeless mannequin who's sitting with his back turned in the boat, I didn't notice any particular focus or oddity about him.
Didn't realize he was the same. Still - just seems like they are different each time we encounter them. Not sure if that is planned and they are just showing us that there are a few different types, or they didn't have budget for certain things or what. The dude with Craters son was the same dude on the dock at the end. Relax, there were a lot of people commenting on it. I am just commenting back that I think it was much a do about nothing, but that I think with Bronn's cut that people are looking more carefully. I went back and watched it again since I saw all the comments. Yes, the guy was pretty still and had a cloak on, but based on his reaction to John jumping in the boat (he immediately goes into action and gets the rope off the dock), I don't think there was any hidden danger. I just think they told the guys on the boat that weren't the key people to be still so everyone focuses on John/Tormund looking back in terror as they realize the WW army just grew by thousands and how ####ed they really are.Nobody is speculating something is going to happen with that guy in the next episode. A few of us found it very odd and it stood out to us WHILE WE WERE WATCHING and we thought something would happen AT THE VERY END OF THE EPISODE. That's all. When it didn't that was the end of any "speculation".I really didn't notice anything odd either. I remember seeing him because they focused on John Snow looking back. After rewatching, he acts like a normal boat guy and does pull the rope off of the docks as soon as John grabs his shoulder to get him going, so I'm pretty sure he isn't a wight in hiding. The cloak was probably more to hide the guy to make sure the focus was on John/Tormund. I think with Bronn's cut, people are looking for things that aren't there.I didn't even notice a random dude doing nothing at the end.

Thanks, that's the part I missed. Not for offering life insurance per se, but the many faced God suggested that the Thin Man doesn't necessarily pay out to the families of the captains who died and are therefore entitled to the insurance proceeds.Thin man offers life insurance and needs to be killed, is that right?

The white walkers are the ones standing up on the hill guiding the action, and the one Jon snow fought in the burning building. They can shatter normal blades, and they control the zombies (which some people are calling wights). The white walkers are intelligent and recruit new white walkers from human babies. That's what the guy with all the daughters was doing - ####### his young daughters, them if they had a son, giving it up to the white walkers.
The regular zombies/wights are more intelligent than regular movie zombies. They knew to attack the wooden wall and the kids knew to stop and scope out the new wildling lady before attacking her. But the white walkers can control them, like when they sent a bunch over the cliff.
When a regular person dies up north of the wall they can become a zombie unless you burn their bodies. Not everyone who dies becomes a zombie but it's better to burn all the bodies. The zombies are harder to kill than regular people but can be burned to death and it seems like chopping their heads off or crushing then works. Falling from a cliff or having no guts didn't seem to bother them.
Just. Pointing. Out. That. It. Was. Noticeable. He's called "an extra". Extras are not known for their acting chops and are usually told to stay out of the way of the real action and star actors. That whole boat was filled with dudes who, in real life, would be rowing their asses off to get away from the zombie apocalypse. Big fan of the sibling incest, are you?Hey to each their own. Littlefinger is certainly ten times as smart as Cersei. He's also, for me, ten times less interesting. Cersei is ruled by her passions, which makes her much more compelling.
Agreed. I don't think everyone noticed the difference between the wights/zombies and the WWs until we saw the king turn Crastor's son. I can see how people got a little confused, but looking back everything is pretty consistent. Some of the wights may have been a bit overzealous in the last episode, but still pretty consistent overall. The white walkers have looked the same since the beginning.Didn't realize he was the same. Agreed, some really good back and forth between them. Most interested I've been in Daeny since she stopped getting naked.I will admit, I thought he said vanilla at first too.
Rewatched the episode and I enjoyed just about every part of it. Really want more Dany and Tyrion screen time. They seem like they can be awesome together.
It was an excellent episode all the way around. The Sansa/Reek scene was great too. You can see the wheels turning in her head, hope, disbelief, fear. Really good stuff. Alfie Allen isn't getting enough credit for the job he's done playing Theon/Reek over the course of the series.I will admit, I thought he said vanilla at first too.

This is very true. For as much as we had to the go around with what happened to Sansa in that rape scene, Alfie nailed it and could very well be up for an award for that last 5 minutes in and of itself. You saw every manifestation of emotion in his reaction to what was happening to her, and since then his scenes have been brilliant. That kind of character can become cartoonish but he has added almost a sense honor to it because you can see his eyes changing emotion and fighting between who he is and was in his scenes now.It was an excellent episode all the way around. Why does she have to admit that Tommen isn't Robert's? Isn't the only dirt they have on her that she slept with Lancel. I don't think Lancel knows about her and Jamie. No way Cersei confesses right? Because it would mean admitting Tommen isn't Robert's and ending her only claim to any kind of power she has left. So how does this play out? Her going to trial and that monster mountain is her champion? That has to be what that comment "The work continues" was meant for. Her crazy mountain fighter is almost ready to be her champion.
I think their outfits have changed, but not sure. He respects the game too much.If Coldplay knows that Jon Snow has a sword that can murk one of his people, why didn't he send wights into the water to get them? Zombies can go in water, right?

In the "previously on" scenes for the episode they showed her sleeping with Lancel so I think that's the direction they were pointing with the incest charge.Lancel could be considered incestIncest was one of the charges against her.Why does she have to admit that Tommen isn't Robert's? yep that's what I am thinking too. I still think its dumb Tommen just doesn't round up all the dudes he has and take out the religious freaks. She's going to confess...no question in my mind. They've set it up pretty clearly.

Until Robert's ******* comes rowing ashore...Its definitely Lancel. That's the only proof they have of incest.

This isn't a typical trial. I don't think the Sparrows are cool with the whole trial by combat thing.confess to the sex with Lancel, trial by combat for the other charges.

There has to be some meaning to the maester talking about his work continuing to Cersei in the cell. The Mountain has been hinted at a couple of times this season - so I expect he still has a role to play.
