Game of Thrones, tv only, books don't exist, no backstory...NERDS already ruining a series that hasn't started (2 Viewers)

Dragons aren't as strong as I thought. I really thought he was about dead after taking a few Spears from some random dudes in clown masks. What a disappointment. No way those things could kill entire armies and one can't clear out a couple hundred in an enclosed arena.

Don't think Dragons are really meant to be ground fighters. I think they have a better chance in the air.

Well, in the first season we see Arya standing next to a skull of a dragon with a tooth as big as she is. It looks like they get much bigger.

He doesn't see sacrificing his kid as evil. His discussion with her confirmed his philosophy on doing anything necessary to fulfil his destiny.

Putting aside the disgust with Stannis' immorality in a fictional book/show, is there anyone worth caring about who doesn't get nixed in this show? It's pretty much Jon Snow against the world right now.
I was talking about that with someone last week. Anyone that has a shred of good seems to meet a gruesome demise.
They'll keep adding and growing new characters as needed. Like Julian Bashere, Noble of Dorne, as an emerging good guy.

Before this is all over we might be pulling for the White Walkers to win.

The show is really making the Unsullied look a bunch of #####es. Hard to understand that. The Unsullied are the greatest warriors around and they can't seem to do anything right. Clown guys look unstoppable.

Yeah, I've noticed that a few times now. Being killed outnumbered or taken by surprise... sure. But you'd think someone trained as a warrior all of his life and armed with a spear and shield could at least take out a few untrained rabble first. Especially early on when they were just armed with knives.

I understand the rage against Stannis right now, but most viewers seem to think that Jaime Lannister is an OK guy- if they're not rooting for him exactly, they're not rooting against him either. But remember what he did at the end of the very first episode of this series?
We used to hate Jaime for that, but they spent loads of time on Jaime's back story and his redemption during his season long trip with Brienne. If they give us a season long Stannis redemption story, maybe we'll not be so harsh on him for barbecuing his daughter.ETA: would be the most boring redemption story ever, unless it's the red witch who continually "redeems" him once an episode.

Good episode except for the fight scene in the ring with the sons of the harpy. Everyone was just kinda standing around waiting for the dragons entrance. Was nice of her to leave all her friends behind lol. Not sure where all the harpy went after the dragon took off. They were pelting him with spears and then disappeared.
The spears were kind of silly. Just have the dragon make mince meat of the harpies and Dany goes for a ride. What were the harpies doing while she got on?
Think they don't want the dragons to seem indestructible so we think the white walkers have a chance.

Dayum...some people's notebooks are deep. I wouldn't have remembered that if it happened last week.

If he's able to parlay what happened with his daughter into taking Winterfell and killing the Boltons, then I'm good with it, 'cause he was screwed unless he did something.

well the dragon did fly off on its own

Who says the masters in the masks are untrained?

That is one big dragon. No comparison to the three that Dany has... rather one she has. I wonder what Tyrion is going to do when he is told/finds the other two locked up.

Whatever happened to the little crippled kid riding on back of hordor? Show just ignoring him for a season?

I thought it was clear that Davos knew the girl was going to die.
had the same thought. also had the thought that he was just concerned for her well-being out in the snow about to attack a castle.

wait.... who had the "can't go forward and cant go backward to castle black talk"... was it Davos and Stannis?

to be fair, her dragons weren't that big not long ago. it's not hard to imagine that they grow a bunch between now and burning down white walkers and westeros.

I said this when Worm etc got the #### kicked out them. argument against was "they're in the city streets and they're not used to tight spaces". this time, I guess it's because they're not used to fighting in and around an arena.

and I'll say again- masked guys circle queen and her pals in the middle of the arena, and attack them one at a time like a bad kung-fu movie from the 70s. but with the dragon, they're spear-chuckers. they couldn't circle up around the queen and then just throw spears at them instead of getting in a big conga-line of certain hand-to-hand death?

This is how I perceived it. Stannis knew Davos would die before letting that happen.

Does Trant recognize Arya?
I think he recognizes her from the dock and is a bit befuddled why he's seen this random girl three or four times since he's gotten there.
I thought Arya was gonna step up and play the role of under aged prostitute to get close enough to Trant to kill him.

Is he on her list?
Yes, he's on her list.

Pretty strongly foreshadowed that she'll be dressing up like a prostitute the following day with the "bring me a fresh one tomorrow" line. Unless, of course, she gets set straight by the many faced man.

Thought it was interesting that he didn't punish her for lying to him about the Thin Man. She's either getting better at it, or he's letting her get away with it for some reason.

I agree that that whole scene was shot fairly poorly. The show is so top notch that those scenes really stand out, however, as I just said, the show is so freaking good that I'm willing to ignore the very few bad scenes.

Did anyone seriously remember who the hell that guy is and what was their beef?

I sure as hell don't but some of these dudes in here likely do.

He was one of the guys involved in Ned's death. Honestly, I don't really remember him, but people posted about him when he was escorting Tyrell to Bravos. Even if I didn't, it was obvious from her reaction that he was on her list.

Is it really that hard to remember characters?

A girl I work with ALWAYS has trouble following the story. I later found out that she plays with her phone the entire time she "watches" with the show basically playing in the background.

Its really not that hard people.

Meryn Trant killed Arya's dancing master during Joffrey/Cersei's power grab following Robert's death. He was also the one in charge of Sansa's discipline at the hands of Joffrey (although Arya obviously wasn't around to see that)

Sure they're trained as fighters, but training and real life situations are different. Maybe they just suck when #### hits the fan.

I thought Jaquin WAS her sword buddy. Now I'm confused.

Before or after she gets raped?
