Game of Thrones, tv only, books don't exist, no backstory...NERDS already ruining a series that hasn't started (2 Viewers)

There is no fate worse in all of Westeros than having Missandei get naked right in front of you, but you have no junk.

Beheadings, poisonings, a crown of molten gold, none of it compares.

Yara, Theon and the girly Iron Born were Ubering the Sand Snakes back to Dorne so they could then get their troops together, get back on the ships and head back up to King's Landing (Dragonstone being at the mouth of the harbor that King's Landing has).

Euron and the manly Iron Born nailed them somewhere between Dragonstone and Dorne.
The iron born sure looked a lot stronger, faster and more savage than when we saw them with Theon. I guess Euron got the Uruk Hai and Yara just got the dorky Orcs.

I wish you could bet on the final throne occupant.

I think I'd be a buyer of littlefinger at ctsu prices and higher.

I'd throw some scrilla at Sam also.

I'm  sure it's been mentioned but Littlefinger must be having flashbacks to season one with Ned. John has basically become Ned...from the hair, to the do the right thing always mantra...he even chokes LF just like Ned did outside the brothel.

LF must think he has Jon where he wants him. Only question is whether Jon heeds Sansa's advice and becomes smarter than Ned.

Everyone is forgetting about the Iron Bank. Whoever occupies the throne in the end will be wiped out by a massive force of heavily armed accountant loan sharks and Braavos will be left in control of Westeros.

no action for Ser Pounce?

Pod would be the best of these options.

No way does Cersei make it to the end and Snow and Dany are way too obvious. I don't think there will be a throne at the end but Littlefinger is probably the best play here. Night King and Bran would be my dark horses.

It's season 7 now guys. Let's just agree Stannis sucked:

1. Killed his brother

2. Killed his daughter

3. Wife no FBG would admit to

4. Only banged the Red Woman once, to kill his brother

5. Boring

6. Kind of a ####

Stannis killed his brother, who had a much larger army (with Loras) and could have easily re-claimed the throne for House Baratheon. His stubbornness caused the Tyrells to flip to the Lannisters, cementing Joffrey's claim and ultimately leading to Cerci on the throne.  He burned his own bannermen and would have sacrificed Gendry and others, in addition to his daughter, in pursuit of what he viewed as his rightful ascent to the throne. It was all a massive blunder, almost equal to Ned Stark's series of mistakes which almost caused his house to perish. Unlike the Starks, who survived due almost single-handedly due to Sansa's smarts, House Baratheon is now completely extinguished.

Sure, except that the discussion didn't originate about whether he sucked or was awesome, nor what the results of his actions were, but rather whether there were any other characters that "tried to do what was right, rather than acting in their own self interests".

In the large scale, Stannis' motivations were to put the rightful king on the throne (coincidence that it was himself of course :P ) and to save the world from the White Walkers.  Even burning his daughter in his own ####ed up way fit in with that.  He was convinced that it was a necessary step to build the army to defeat the white walkers, such that he was casting aside his own self interests (his own daughter) to do what he (stupidly) thought was right.  He just was caught way up in the Lord of Light stuff enough that it totally screwed up his sense of what was right.

Theon with the same odds as Jamie and Gendry, the guy that everyone thinks is next in line for the throne and the guy that actually should be on it?

Not getting the Euron/Ramsey comparisons. Euron was a hell of a lot more charming than Ramsey ever was when he was talking to Cersei. He also got the people of the Iron Islands to go his way at Kingsmoot using his power of persuasion, which is not at all akin to how Ramsey ruled the Bolton family.

Not too mention Euron is a legit badarse. Ramsey was a wannabee.

That was my exact thought.  When they went into the cellar I thought the dude was going to explain to Cersei how they killed the dragons in the old days.  But his method hadnt even been tested yet
Of course he tested it before he showed Cersei.  He would be nuts not to. I sincerely hope this is a running joke.

sometimes castration takes the pork sometimes not.  I have no idea how it is done in GOT but either way it is a limp pork I believe with out the beans.
Not i interested in the pork, but how do the unsullied get so buff without the beans? I thought eunuchs were destined to be fat guys at least.

Ramsay sucked as a character. Loved rooting against him but he was a cartoon villain with no real depth or dimension. Just a monster with no redeeming qualities. I'm sure there are people like that in real life but he wasn't nearly as interesting as a Joeffry imo.
No way

I think they were going down to Dorne to pick up the Dornish Army.  They left Dragonstone, and had to go around KL.  Euron was chilling in Blackwater Bay, and likely caught them right around there, on their way south. They pretty much just owned the Iron Born that went with Yara, and the sand snakes.

I really wish the show had given Euron a bit more, maybe take 3-5 minutes in season 3 to have a merchant talk about how afraid of Silence they were, or bring up the terrible things Euron does.  In the books, he cuts the tongues out of everyone on his ship, and paints his ship red to hide the blood. He also is involved in some crazy sacrifices and magic rituals, he's a pretty bad dude, they talk about just the sight of his sails makes people freak out. His ship is massive, and it looked huge in that battle, but they could have been talking about it a bit more to just give the viewers a sense of how crazy/brutal he was, without giving him a lot of screen time.
I could be wrong but it seems like you are talking about victorian and not euron in the books.

How long have we spent on this Dorne story, establishing that they all use poison on their weapons.  Hello, Zombie Mountain, Bronn, Marcella, etc.  Yet Euron takes a spear through the gut, as well as a few other decent shots, and we see him parading through KL on the next episode preview?

This is my 100% biggest complaint about the show the last few seasons.  The best thing that I enjoyed about GoT was there were actual consequences, your choices had lasting impacts, but lately, that doesn't seem to the case.

What's the point in killing Jon, and bringing him back, if it doesn't change him in any way?  Neat, he's out of the Night's Watch, but other than that, nothing.  The stabbing of Arya in the gut, when she seemingly forgot that a den of face-changing assassins were hunting her.  All it takes is a bandage from Lady Crane and she's fine.  The hound, too, which I love as a character.  Next thing we know Blackfish is going to come riding in.

It just seems like they're using cheap hollywood tricks for thrills, without any lasting impact, and it's obnoxious and makes me care less.
My biggest complaint is that people talk about THE ####### PREVIEWS LIKE THEY AREN'T SPOILERS!!!

curious if when Sam was talking to the maester about his history book in the works should have a better title it will be named a song of fire and ice.

Just watched episode 2 last night...the girl who gets naked...nice breasts...is the same actress who played Ramsay on Fast & Furious movies.  Nice breasts.

Another thing that I think is a misstep is Euron Greyjoy and Dolores Red (the new head of the Knights Watch).
I'm a book nerd, but  :lmao: .

At first I thought you were giving Melisandre a new nickname. May be unintentional comedy, but this ranks right up there with Karl Drogo and Tyrone Lannister.

LOL. Do they ever even say his name in the show? I just remembered someone mentioned in it once on a podcast at some point so I should get credit for remembering anything about the total nothing of a character.
