Game Thread - Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers (1 Viewer)

Am I imagining things or was that a touchdown?
Did not have control of the ball when the feet were in, though it was closer then they gave it credit for. Mason caught the back of the ball and did not control it right away
now you're just repeating what the tv clowns are saying. there's no rule that you have to have possession of the middle portion of the football. he securely had possession of the back of the ball, and dragged both feet in bounds. that was a touchdown if reviewed.

Why not challenge that out-of-bounds call? It boggles the mind. It's a stupid time it costs you. That's all.

the refs are trying to ruin this game, some questionable calls so far. (not to say that about last one but the hold against Heap was a joke) Just seems like they're calling everything

Bad officiating, bad coaching, and bad announcing all on the same play. Whether or not you think it was a good catch or not, there's no question that it was close enough to challenge, as well as close enough to look at the replay numerous times instead of just once.On HD, it looked like a good catch, but I don't know if the call would have been reversed, especially since the game is in Pittsburgh.

This (ESPN) crew is awful! I like Jaws but even he sounds preachy/whiney...like he's trying too hard. Seems like they're all reading from a bad script rather than calling a football game.o

Is Clayton playing? :goodposting:
Flacco locks on to Mason every time. He needs to learn quickly that he cant lock on and expect to be successful, even with his arm. Palamalu was watching him look at mason before he lofted it in the air.

I think they got the number wrong and the announcers didnt help. The hold should have been on the OLine guy not letting palamalu go. Clear holding there.

What was that? 45 yards in the air? too much loft but the throw looked effortless.
Looked like he tried to get cute. If that yards was thrown a bit harder the WR had a much better chance to catch it and get a TD.
:goodposting: I haven't paid any attention to him before tonight, and I haven't seen enough to really make a judgment, but there have been a few very impressive moments thus far. This guy could be exciting to watch in the near future.

Gotcha....didn't see the olineman i was locked in on Heap on the replay. Have to take a peak at it again on the DVR at halftime. On Flacco, he's leaps and bounds above Boller in that he has poise and doesn't make the dumb play because he's rattled. He needs to use that arm and put the ball on a rope, the rainbows are going to get his rec killed. Let's see if OC stops max protect on every snap in second half, gets Heap loose. Maybe Cam is setting up Heap for an opportunity.

McGahee limping off the field.

Looks like a knee.

I mean, really: why not challenge? You are just giving up on 4 points you your team, and all of your fantasy owners. I hate Harbaugh already. He might be worse than Crennel.

Yes Clayton is in, Ravens are going Max protect. basically running two wide-outs and occassionally a RB out in patterns. RBs are mostly blocking initially and sliding out as a check down so Pitts has double coverage on Clayton with the corner and safety. Ravens are running a bunch on this series. Also Flacco seems to be looking Masons way big time.

How many people just love watching the Steerlers suck and Ben getting his ### kicked :lmao: . I love this game

The Ravens D is for real. They gamble but they are good. And they're missing their starting NG in K. Gregg, their starting CB in Rolle, their starting S in Landry and their third best corner in Fabian Washington. If they can get healthy they're going to be nasty later in the season.

I'm actually happy Simmons is out(not that he's hurt, just that he may be not able to continue to stink it up at RG). He's terrible. A cardboard box would be an improvement at this stage.

That's right! And their my defense! Now the Steelers just have to bench Big Ben.Now, why did Figurs fair catch that, instead of taking it to the house?

Ben seems reluctant to throw the ball deep..

on a couple of those replays it looks like he missed a receiver, specifically the first one where it looked like either Washington or Holmes was open on a deep skinny post
