Game Thread - Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers (1 Viewer)

This won't be a surprise to anyone, but the ESPN analysts suck.

Suzie Kolber: before the game talking about the preseason bounty on Mendenhall and forcing him to carry a ball around... didn't mention that it happened in presesaon... acted like it happened this week.

C. Mortensen: the problem last week against PHI was that the Steelers only kept 5 people in to block too often... WRONG! It simply didn't happen that way.

Jaws: K. Simmons is the anchor of the Steelers offensive line :goodposting:

Oh, And something is wrong with Ben, and it's not the supposed injuries.... he needs to stand there and throw the ####### ball to an open WR... don't try to avoid the rush each and every ####### play.

McGahee down again.

Being helped off by two trainers this time.

Ben seems reluctant to throw the ball deep..on a couple of those replays it looks like he missed a receiver, specifically the first one where it looked like either Washington or Holmes was open on a deep skinny post
Not placing all the blame on Ben but I've always said he does not go through all his progressions and holds onto the ball too long trying to make the big play. He's had the luxury of doing that in the past now that he doesn't have the time to move around and such it's hurting him.

He doesn't look sharp at all but how much of that is the pressure? I think that interception shook his confidence a bit too

Regardless of the why, he's certainly doing it(happy feeting) too damn much tonight. Looks "scared." Tomlin needs to put his thumb on that NOW.

Was just thinking/noticing how slow of a start Santonio Holmes(not going to say bust yet,,... but he's been costing teams for 3 1/2 weeks, so he's close to bust). He was Top 15 ranked in most rankings. He is currently #52 in a light PPR league (favors him), thru this first half on the year.

Good shopping opp me thinks.

While I'm at it... I couldn't just get the rankings on Big Ben. 2007 will be one of his career highlights, stats wise. The o-line is questionable, and I get doesn't "breakout" that far into his career with the supporting cast he's had all along. Now it looks he's Marc Bulger Duex in terms of getting hammered non-stop. I don't think he's an easy shop right now, and at the same time, I'd hate to be "stuck" with him. He'll improve, but improve back to 2006, not 2007.

I have had JUST about enough of the Steelers' third down defense the past....ohhh....what seems like 15 years. How many times are they going to let them run that same little screen to Fatty McClain on third and long and have him run for the 1st? Think we've seen it three times so far.

One thing about Cowher, he very rarely had a poor offensive line. The offensive line came first and foremost when it came to building his offenses. Drafts that were influenced by Cowher always took offensive linemen in high positions: this was often boring to witness as a fan, but it was highly effective. For years, Pittsburgh ALWAYS had a top 5 offensive line.

Now they've gotten away from all that. Suddenly, they're just like any other team or worse. The whole persona of the physical Steelers is gone. (At least on offense.)

The Steelers are in BIIIGGG trouble...we need the old Big Ben in the second half. We need Mendenhall to find some holes. We need SOMETHING!!!

The Steelers should draft Oline and Dline with all of their ####### 8 picks next year.

I'm going to get another beer.

Apparently the Steelers forgot that they know how to run the no huddle offense. Hopefully they'll remember in the second half.

The NFL should have some rule about not allowing Pitt to play any sunday and monday night games. Everytime i see this team play they are just pathetic. Watching them on offense hurts my stomach.

This game is far, far, far from over BUT, next week is going to be a hard hitting game. Balt vs Tenn. If the Ravens can keep this up it's going to be the battle of the undefeateds.

It's only 13-3 though. Balt is beating the crap out of the Steelers right now but they keep it up.

Ben's stupid ### INT on the first play of the Steelers 2nd drive was a crusher... Baltimore has rolled since that play.

Balt 3 and out to start the game, Steelers drive for a TD, Balt goes 3 and out again, the the Steelers get the ball back at around mid-field.... Ben throws a bad pick.... I know the ball slipped out of his hand, but it's a ####### crushing mistake.

The game was going to come down to Flacco VS Big Ben... well guess what... Flacco is ####### kicking Ben's ###.
