Hopefully Roeth also remembers that he doesn't have to have happy feet every play, including the few where he actually has protection. I realize he's probably shellshocked after last week, but he needs to get over it FAST.
 
I know it is ridiculously early and he hasn't been asked to do much, but Flacco looks really good for a rookie making his 1st road start vs. a good defense with only marginal help from his running game. As a fan of an AFC team it's a little scary that this Ravens team may actually have a QB for 8-9 years.

Watching him play at Delaware, he definitely was a DI talent that for whatever reason he had for leaving he did. He didn't want to lose a year and that's why he went to 1-AA
 
Ben is reminding me of Kyle Boller...happy feet, holding the ball too long, missing hot-reads on blitzes.

(Sorry about the swift kick to the nutz to Steeler's fans, just saying)

 
That was not a td for Mason when he was bringing the ball down it was still moving and that was after the feet were off the ground. No way that get's over turned.

hard to have a run game with ben looking like a deer in headlights. No threat of a pass means everyone is in the box trying to make mendenhall eat his text. He looked good going 5/25 but since then balt has been able to stack the box and wait for him.Ben needs to shake off the sacks and get this offense moving.
 
As others have noted, the lead is only 10 but that could be a big mountain for the Stillers to climb if they don't slice into the time of possession gap, now an 18-11 Ratbird advantage. If they still have a lead in the fourth, they're just gonna pound a tiring and somewhat shorthanded D line with all that beef. Ben's opportunities to turn this one around for them may be few.

He is, he had a sweet block laying Ed Reed out early in the game. Ben just can't find anyone before his shoe falls off and he ends up on his back.

Maybe he should try both shoes off. I mean he has given two shoes on and one on/one off a shot and neither of those configurations are doing any good.Two socks... can't be any worse. :goodposting:

I agree. I was just stating that you can't blame Mendy for being "bad" when last week it was much of the same with Willie in

He looks like '06 Big Ben, a guy who doesn't trust himself. I think getting the ball out of his hand quickly and establishing some rhythm will help him shake it off.
 
Crap, I was wrong. Fabian Washington is playing. I think he's an upgrade at CB over Rolle.

Baltimore is freakin' T'in off on Pittsburgs offensive guys. What did they have for a snack at halftime.

 
3rd and 1 and they run a play from the shotgun.

I usually don't complain about the coaching... but I'm begining to hate Arians.

 
Just an aside for those that haven't seen the Ravens play this year, they have played much better in the second half against Cleveland nad Cincy. Granted not great teams but the D seems to get more imposing in the second half. Balt has also turned up the running game in the second half against those two teams dominating time of possession.

It's certainly how they need to try to beat the blitz. 3 step drops and get rid of it quick. They didn't try that last week either though, so I'm not feeling that confindent that they'll try it this week either, unfortunately.
