Game Thread: Chargers at Raiders (1 Viewer)

For those who don't want that clown Berman to absolutely butcher this game with his tired, pompous, asinine shtick, you can hear Kevin Harlan and Dan Fouts call the game on the Dial Global Radio Network (formerly Westwood One).

I'll consider it a W if Rivers gets out of this game healthy. I'm very nervous about the state of the Chargers' offensive line.

A rookie free agent will be charged with protecting Philip Rivers' blindside in the San Diego Chargers' Week 1 opener next Monday night against the Oakland Raiders.Michael Harris will start at left tackle on Sept. 10 as Jared Gaither still is not ready to return from back spasms he first started to experience July 28.
Our front 4 has been terrorizing O-lines all summer.

Chargers weapons I worry about are Malcom Floyd and Antonio Gates. They always seem to have great games against the Raiders. Not having Mathews is a huge blow to the Chargers running game. I expect Rivers to air it out tonight.

Unless you see an ALCOA fantastic finish coming on here at the 2 min warning, why is the 4 letter network subjecting us to watch bad football played for no audience in particular? I'd rather watch Ice Cube warm up.

Jesus, it's once a year. Lose the skirts.
:lmao: I agree although it will be a ##### getting up for work in the morning. Once a year is cool but don't like the suggestion in the Ravens-Bengals thread to do a MNF double every week. Keep it to the season opener. Now let's go Gates!

In Tim's Free For All FF League, I trail Phrozen by 70 points. I've got Philip Rivers, Antonio Gates, and Malcolm Floyd.

GO CHARGERS!!!

The reason they have two west coast teams in the late game is because there is less of a chance that east coasters will care about the teams involved. But with fantasy football (and gambling), EVERY game matters.

Easy to say from the West coast. My day starts at 6 AM on Tuesdays, and ends at either 4 PM or 8 PM depending on the week.I can live with occasional 1 AM game endings, but I'm getting too old for 3 AM endings.

The place is electric when it is full, as it is tonight. And it is ALL black. A fan base as amazing as it is scary.

Umm...thank you, but isn't radio delay several seconds off from TV delay?

The Bengals/Ravens game was timed up fine. We'll see about this one.

In two games last year, Denarius Moore had 8 catches for 224 yards and two touchdowns against the Chargers.

His loss somewhat offsets the Chargers' loss of Ryan Mathews.

The coliseum dirt is nasty and embarrasing. Can't wait for a new stadium or the A's to go ahead and tank their playoff hopes early.

You're listening to [broadcast] radio? I went to Raiders live radio from a Google search and it's like 2 plays behind.

I hate seeing the baseball diamond on the field. I don't have any information to back it up, but it certainly seems like it could be an injury risk.

So, anyone else starting Rod Streater? I was down by 20 in one league, so I figured I'd throw him in there and hope for something crazy.
