Game Thread - Divisionals - New England V Denver (1 Viewer)

WTF was up with that Broncos defense? NE lined up two WRs to the right and not a Den DB within 15 yards of them? And why didn't Brady audible and look their way?

Any Broncos fans have a comment on this?Do the Broncos regularly run a D where five seconds before the snap they send their CBs 15 yards deep on 3rd and short?

Trying to read BB's lips here. It looks like he wants a measurement and the ref won't give it to him.
After the call was finally made, it looked like BB said "mutha f------, doesn't know what he's talking about". Then again, my lip-reading may be a bit off.

The Broncos won the first quarter on the field, but the biggest battle was won by the Pats -- stopping the Denver running game.

First quarter rushing stats for the Broncos are unimpressive.Anderson: 4 fot 7Plummer: 1 for 6Bell: 1 for 3

No less than three times the ref made a measurement by spreading his hands out about 18 inches. It looked like Bill kept saying "if we accept the penalty is it a first down?" and the official said "no, you're this far away". Then Belichick seemed to say that he wanted a measurement anyway, and the ref kept signaling how far away he was (acting like he didn't need a measurement).

I'd call it just about even. Also, Tom Brady's wife just gave her phone number to Diet Pepsi machine.

FG would be a win here but you have to take that penalty. Scares me. Not because of a conversion by Denver but a defensive penalty.

I saw that too. Damn - all he wanted was a measurement for the 4th and short... seemed reasonable to me.He was asking "where's the ball?" and the idiot ref was pointing to the end of the play.

Brilliant.

Shanahan and Belichick doing a great job seeing who can make more worse decisions.Belichick gives the Broncos another chance to score a TD and then Shanahan needs to call a timeout to figure out what to call on 4th and 1 after his QB sneak didn't work on 3rd and 1? :eyeroll:

Yeah, I'd kick the FG here. But if they must call a play from scrimmage, something outside seems like the recipe.
