Way to go Mr Clutch - here is some more respect

14 point swing on your Bailey Interception

Way to cost your team a chance at victory

BOO HOO PAT FANS

I've followed your posts for a while now. Must be nice to finally have the chance to release your anger against the Pats.

Enjoy your moment in the sun.
ITS SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETBrady is NOT GOD

Yeah.I can list TONS of QBs who played well in EVERY playoff game.

Anyways, enjoy the moment, Nuke.

Montana > Brady. Now that we have this settled, can we all be reasonable football analysts now, or must we insist on continued lovefest hyperbole with this guy?

Are you going to suggest that Montana never played a bad playoff game?

Before the game:

  1.  Brady is the best thing since sliced bread.  All Plummer does is choke in the playoffs and throw interceptions.

  2.  The Patriots will stop the running game and force Plummer to make mistakes.

  3.  Belichick is a better coach than Shanahan.

  4.  Brady will use up Denver's horrible pass D.

  5.  The Pats have a 10 game playoff streak and STILL aren't getting respect.

After the game:

  1.  I can't believe the Pats gave the game away with all those fumbles.

  2.  What were the refs thinking on that call?

  3.  Denver is horrible, but the Patriots played worse than I can remember.  The Broncos will surely lose in a blowout next week.

How about yall swollow a little pride and accept that the better team won.

Seriously, what happened to, "The best team won, good luck next week." ?????
Denver is a good team, Pats did play worse than I could remember, and the Broncos did not show they could beat the Colts next week.
I said this all week about the Pats but people claimed they would "elevate" their game

okay guys, the more you guys laugh at Patriots fans, the more it shows how much your own team blows and how you have nothing to cheer for that you have to cheer AGAINST somebody.
You're starting to sound like a Yankees fan.

Brady finally going to lose a playoff game? He should have just tanked the end of the season so he could have kept his playoff streak in-tact.
You are such a joke. I cant believe you are on staff here.
Let it all out, I'm here for you.
Do you not even see the petty little person that you are.

You dont even have a horse in this race. Your jealousy of Pats fans is just so sickening.
Where's your horse?

:bye:
My horse is walking off the field like the proud champions that they are. They just got whipped in the divisional round by a good team. Unlike your team that is still wondering who their next coach will be.
Proud champions walk off the field after outscoring their opponents. Proud champions don't get whipped. Yes, my team is still wondering who their next coach will be. I hope that can help soothe your pain this evening. GL!
I understand that I'm fairly new here, so maybe I'm getting the wrong impression, but are you always a ##### like this? Is that standard behavior for staff members?
Sorry you don't like it here. Please refrain from calling other members names. Hope you enjoy your evening!
Not to jump in here, but please don't use the "Watch out, because I could ban you card." Pretty weak.
1) He COULD ban him

2) Chase is above board 99.999999999999% of the time

3) Admittedly he's letting his Jets fandom get the better of him, HOWEVER, the Pats fans have been nearly unbearable at times on these boards so I can't say I really blame him
Wood,

I have tried to engage in actual discussion during this whole game and your boy Chase just continued to be a #### to all Pats fans the whole game. He should be proud.

Your above justification of him is bogus IMO.
I haven't attacked any Patriots fans or used any foul language. Sorry to see we rooted for different teams today. Enjoy your off-season:)
You are not a Denver fan. You were rooting against the Pats rather than for Denver. And you did it in such a gracious and classy manner. You basically spent 3 hours ragging on and trying to belittle the Patriots.

I never said you called anybody names and used foul language. You just acted like a ####.

For a staff member, all of your insights into the game were of the "Beavis and Butthead" variety.

I dont know you. I dont care to know you. Now that the Pats are out of the tournament, who will you be rooting against next since you dont have anyone to root FOR?

For three straight years, Montana went 0-3 in the playoffs with 0 TDs and 4 INTs.

You're starting to sound like a Yankees fan.
I sound like a Yankees fan but the NFL has a salary cap, dif. teams, dif. situation, so it shows how much more rediculous the haters of the Patriots are

I am clearly a Bronco fan. Some of my best friends are Pats fans. I cheered for the Pats in 1996 vs GB. They cheered with me in 1997 for Denver vs GB, and again in 1998 vs Atlanta. I cheered with them in 2001, 2003, and 2004.I spoke to one of my Pats friends at halftime and I was the first to say I thought the pass interference call was BS. He called me at the end of the game and was the first to congratulate me on the win. He offered his support next week vs Indy or Pittsburgh, which I graciously accepted; I would have supported the Pats if the tables were reversed. My point is that there is no hate here - much love all around. Pats are my #2 team, and will continue to be.Go Stillers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would love to have seen Pats-Colts this year, but the Pats had an incredible run.  Three Superbowls, ten straight playoff wins, four playoff appearances, four division titles, and five winning seasons in the last five years is nothing to sneeze at.

This team should be better next year - the secondary will have more experience, Colvin will be another year removed from his injury, Light and Koppen should be back, and if they're healthy for a full season, hopefully they can contend not only for a playoff spot but another division win or ideally another first round bye.

Their road to those things will be tougher with an improving Dolphins team and new coaching staffs with Buffalo and the Jets, and the Pats likely changing offensive and defensive coordinators again next year.  Those who want the Patriots' run to be over have hope here.

The Pats need a new running back, some help at defensive back, some depth on the defensive line and some youth at linebacker.  This is a good year for running backs in free agency, and the Patriots are in fairly good shape with their own free agents, so I hope to see them back next year.
Tough game tonight BF. But congrats on a pretty darn good season (you did win a playoff game). It's been a great run for you guys, and who knows what the future holds.
Yeah, the above is real representative of your other 300 posts in this thread. I didnt realize that prozak worked so quickly.
I'm not sure where the confusion is. Point to any post over the last 3 years where I've gotten into a fight with BostonFred. I've had a great relationship with him and Maxwell over the years, and we've always had great discussions. BF (and Maxwell) is one of the best and most respectful posters on these boards.
 Pat, I think I read Chase's comments throughout the thread differently from you, because we've had plenty of conversations in the past. Chase is a good kid.

Chase, thanks. And a quick reminder that the Jets suck. I won't love losing Mangini if you guys decide to take him, but I'll enjoy seeing the Jets promote him to a head coaching position when he was barely ready to be a defensive coordinator.

Exactly. Those hating on Brady didn't watch how many UNREAL throws he had tonight under some strong pressure.

Does anyone think that this one game makes Brady a bad QB?

Unreal.

Alright, it's been an hour of smiles. I'm done now. :excited:Combined with John Hall blowing a chip shot FG, and it's been a pretty good day.To all the other Pats fans in this thread, you had a good year and you won the division. You just weren't the best team in your conference, and you were unable to win today. Nothing wrong with that.

No way at all.He played a great game but just faced a tough Denver defense in a hostile environment.

I'm fairly certain he's talking about the 10-0 postseason run, which is the best run of any coach or quarterback in NFL history. I think it's reasonable to cite the end of the Patriots's streak without necessarily saying it's the end for the Patriots. I can still hold out hope that the Patriots win a Superbowl next season, though, if only to make COlin admit that the Pats are a dynasty, after listening to his "Dynasties don't include non-playoff seasons" diatribes.

Congrats to the Denver fans. All of the Denver fans in this thread have been great. Good banter. To those of you just hating on the Patriots, I wish better things for your teams so that you can stop hating and start rooting.

From a Colts fan...congrats Patriots and your fans for a great run! Now that it has ended can we please come back to Earth with our lovefest for Brady and Bilicheck. Tho great, they have shown that they are human. Let's keep them there.Congrtats again! BTW, this Pats loss looks no different than either of the last 2 road playoff losses the Colts and Manning suffered at NE.It is tough to win on the road against a bye-week team, period. Brady didn't choke and neither has Manning.

If Colin doesn't admit to this--which he shouldn't, because it's valid--are you resigning hope? I don't understand the connx here.

Can anyone make a legitamate stop at this team? With Jake playing the way he is, no chance theyll lose anymore. BRING ON THE COLTS OR THE STEELERS
there were times the Pats moved the ball a little too easily. I hope they figure out why becaus surely their next opponent will try to replicate those slants+all.

Oh. Good point. You're probably right. And certainly the Patriots run was remarkable and worthy of tons of priase. (I won't argue here since we already know how I feel Week 16, 2002 negates the 10-0 run.)

Oh gee, sorry. Next time, if you want to keep your conversations between yourselves, you might want to use the PM feature. Otherwise, these threads historically have been game for everyone.Last I checked, anyway.

I have no vested interest in either of these teams, although I will admit that I was rooting against the Patriots.

It was amazing to watch that game. In my lifetime, no team has ever created a perception of itself that was so dominating that I couldn't imagine them not winning a championship when they brought their A game. Except for the Patriots. And watching that perception of them change from being unbeatable in the postseason to vulnerable, Tom Brady not being perfect in the postseason, the Patriots making mistakes, Vinatieri missing a big field goal, was almost surreal.

The point here is that Broncos fans should be proud of ending one of the most phenomenal runs in history, and Pats fans (the real ones, they know who they are) should take pride in the fact that they've seen their team accomplish a feat that sports fans rarely have an opportunity to enjoy. What a crazy game. The fact that there are Pats "fans" in this thread un-willing to accept that the better team won tonight is absolutely mind-blowing to me.

I know you were waiting for the Pats to lose, which worked out for you. What's up with the "why did my thread get locked" posts, and the "I can reply to your thread if I want to"? You're acting like a noob.

I'm unwilling to accept this as an 'end' to the Pats run. Nobody has won it every year, have they? There were lots of people who didn't think the Pats had a chance to make it to the playoffs before the season started, what with the loss of both their O and D coordinators, etc. They were an improving team in the last half, made the playoffs and came up short this year. Coulda been a lot worse. They're still the toughest team in their division.

At least until Miami gets their QB situation straightened out...Look to Miami to make a push next year. That said, I still expect NE to challenge for the AFC title next year. I think they oculd use depth at DB, OL, and maybe a faster RB.

N.Y. Jets 4 12

Yup. Tough road in front of them.

Well, they'll get their starting Center, Left Tackle and Strong Safety back. That will solve a lot of those problems.

This is true, but they've won zero SBs without Ty Law, Charlie Weis and Joe Andruzzi. Mangini, Bruschi and Givens might be gone after this year. McGinest will be 35, Dillon is just about done and and the heart of the Patriots the last few years -- Troy Brown and Rodney Harrison - will be 35 and 34 (and coming off season-ending surgery). The Pats of 2006 will be significantly different than the Pats of 2004.

The key is that the back-ups who saw significant time this year will add to depth next year, but they need to infuse youth at these positions, IMHO.

They'll also have an offensive line and defensive backfield that's healthy, with playoff tested backups. As well as a healthy cap situation to fill gaps. Are you going to suggest that the Pats are in worse shape than the other AFC contenders for 2006?

Your anti-Pats schtick is cute, but don't lose TOTAL credibility tonight.
