***Game Thread*** Minnesota at Houston -3.5 (53.5) (1 Viewer)

Ministry of Pain

I can't understand how Houston is a 3.5 point favorite, both teams are 0-3. I think it actually will be a fun game and might be high scoring.

I think the Vikings will win today. I don't think they are as bad as that 0-3 record, not sure what their problem is but they have a new weapon at WR, that should open up the running lanes enough and I see them beating Houston today, just my gut.

Minnesota 31...Houston 24

I have the Watson/Akins combo, along with the Cousins/Thielen combo in the subscriber contest.  I just want a high scoring aerial attack.

DQing Harrison Smith for that hit is total bill. I don't agree with the call in the first place but understand the rule and that they are going to throw the flag. But you don't throw a guy out for that unless it's intentional, imo.

Vicious HIT by the Safety according to the Rules in 2020, should be ejected and I do like the player in general. It just looks terrible.

This management decision has obviously paid immediate dividends....🙁

Report: Bill O’Brien getting more involved in offensive playcalling

Posted by Josh Alper on October 4, 2020, 12:14 PM EDT

The Texans changed the way their offensive operations worked this offseason when they handed playcalling duties to offensive coordinator Tim Kelly.

Head coach Bill O’Brien had handled those duties for the last four seasons and the team’s 0-3 start has reportedly led him to reconsider the new approach. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that O’Brien will be more involved in the playcalling and offensive planning this week and in the weeks to come, although Kelly will still be sending the plays to quarterback Deshaun Watson.

The Texans have scored 57 points and picked up 924 yards while losing to the Chiefs, Ravens and Steelers to start the season.

Sunday’s game against the Vikings will provide the first look at how well the revised approach might work out for Houston.

See that Cook is back in...
Glad he's OK. Didn't see the hit but gauging from comments here it was bad.

Feel bad if he's still shook. Also feel bad for my team and Cooks contributing nothing. Is he even being targeted in this offense anymore?

Seems droppable at this point in redraft.

Will have to look at the snap counts later but Cooks had targets early on in the game, just never connected.

I think Cooks is a good player but he seems somewhat redundant in this offense and Watson already has rapport with Fuller and Stills.

I think Jefferson is making a good case to be a must start now but I can understand not trusting him over Cooks with only one good game in his career at that point.
