You should know how it goes. Run on 1st down. If run > 3 yards, run again. If run =< 3 yards, pass. If incomplete, pass again. If distance_to_first_down OR distance_to_TD is > 2 yards, pass.Vincent @$#@&^# Jackson. Can't you throw LT a bone, Norv?![]()
I wasn't paying attention, but you are probably right. Norv likes to go big in the red zone with Jackson (6'5"), Malcolm Floyd (6'5") and sometimes Davis (6'1") along with his two TES (6'4" and 6'2").From an out-of-market guy it looked like Chambers might not have even been on the field when the Chargers got down in the red zone. Is this correct? Looks like Jackson is the down the field target for Rivers at this point... Despite the long bomb to Chambers in the first half... Am I wrong?
WOW! What a catch. Rossario is a bad ###YES!!!!!
Just like last year.:IBTL:as a bronco fan, i love the chargers starting 0-1![]()
That is terrible criticism. If you have a shot to score a TD, to make the other team need to score a TD to win it, you do it.Dear God Norv makes some bad decisions. Left way too much time on the clock when they were on the 5 yard line. Chip shot FG at worst, could have run down to the 2-minute warning, run a 3rd down play, then kicked with 90 seconds left in the game instead of giving Carolina the ball on the other side of the warning.
We can't wait, we can't wait, we can't wait for tomorrow...Alcoa can't wait.Anyone else old enough to remember the "Alcoa Fantastic Finishes" they'd show at the 2:00 warnings?![]()
Good call. Rivers had a 125.1 QB rating today and led a 4th quarter comeback that should have been good enough to win if not for the SD defense.Besides the Chambers TD, Rivers has looked mediocre at best.
Great game. The Chargers didn't show up until the second half. Carolina played very tough.Rivers put to rest my doubts about his knee. He looked good under pressure. Gates generally looked like himself as well.
The ball hit the receiver (Mark Jones) and then bounced into the end zone, where Carolina recovered. If the Chargers had recovered, it would have been a touchdown, but since Carolina recovered, it was a touchback.Maurile,Unfortunately I'm on the East Coast and the only coverage of the game that I got was the last 2 minutes. WOW, what a finish! Can you shed some light on the following play?4-14-SD 37 (13:29) 5-M.Scifres punts 56 yards to CAR 7, Center-50-D.Binn. 84-M.Jones MUFFS catch, recovered by CAR-23-D.Wesley at CAR 0. Touchback. What actually happened here? How could it have been a Touchback if the Carolina player muffed it at the 7?
