Game Thread W1 - Seattle at San Francisco (1 Viewer)

is the SF O-Line THAT bad at run blocking?
Seattle defensive line is massive. They start three DT's if you consider that Red Bryant playing at LDE was a DT before being moved. They were very successful with this philosophy last year until Bryant was injured in week 6.

Baldwin was a big fan favorite through camp and he's the fastest on the team I believe. Undrafted from Stanford no less.

Way to kick off to Ted Ginn instead of going for the onside kick.

Way to punt to Ted Ginn instead of going for it.

So Marshawn Lynch got absolutely no thing done out there and Leon Washington didn't get a single carry? What's the deal here?

Leon's the 3rd back, at least for now, so I wouldn't expect many carries unless they get the run game going and the RBs get tired. Lynch didn't have any help whatsoever by the very young line (23 combined total career starts amongst them) until TJ got into a bit of a rhythm in the 2nd half and by then they were playing 2 scores behind. If/when the line gels and/or the QB actually poses a threat beyond dumpoffs there won't be much. Lynch looked pretty decent in his Beast Mode a few times, but like last year, much of that effort was just to get back to the LoS.
