Yes, he did.WHAT!!!! A fumble? Brown never had control of the ball. How can they rule it a fumble?
No chance. If he has surgery at least out for a game. If not then 6 weeks or more.So Portis is out for this game.Do you think he will be back next week?

I guess we were looking at two different replays because he didn't make a step, or NFL move, whatever you wanna call it....Yes, he did.WHAT!!!! A fumble? Brown never had control of the ball. How can they rule it a fumble?
id doubt it at this point. the season seems to look more and more like its lost for the skins and portis' right hand is his dominant hand for carrying the ball. I guess it depends on how badly his hand is broken, where the break is, and if its actually a break afterall. So Portis is out for this game.Do you think he will be back next week?

It is also possible we are looking at the same play and it is a judgement call.I guess we were looking at two different replays because he didn't make a step, or NFL move, whatever you wanna call it....Yes, he did.WHAT!!!! A fumble? Brown never had control of the ball. How can they rule it a fumble?
I just looked at the play in slow motion on my dvr. Brown caught it, made a move and the ball was knocked out. Looks like it was the correct call - a catch and a fumble. No chance. If he has surgery at least out for a game. If not then 6 weeks or more.So Portis is out for this game.Do you think he will be back next week?

Why do they always decapitate the head? Why not decapitate a foot or something?Brunell looks bad, by the way. Nothing new there. The only injury left for Portis is decapitated head.
if portis is done for more then just this game(which seems likely), i fully expect to see jason cambell next week with the way brunell is playing. Why do they always decapitate the head? Why not decapitate a foot or something?Brunell looks bad, by the way. Nothing new there. The only injury left for Portis is decapitated head.
Perfect. That hissing sound is my playoff chances leaking away. When he did and Fragile Freddy switch uniforms?Portis, broken right hand OUT for the game.
I'd figure them to start Betts instead.[/lame joke]Portis' status won't make a diff on what QB starts.if portis is done for more then just this game(which seems likely), i fully expect to see jason cambell next week with the way brunell is playing.
Do refs ever get an obvious call right?Terrible. That was clearly a fumble, ball clearly came out before he was touched. This whole replay thing is idiotic. Hey let's have one guy look at it on a 7" screen![]()
bump for editI see Moss has one catch, has he been in alot or not?
Looked to me like he was touched before the ball was all the way out./shrugWOW.. clearly a fumble.. cost the Skins 3..
New NFL rules for 2006: • Down by contact calls may be reviewed by instant replay. Previously, a fumble was not reviewable if the ball carrier was ruled down by contact. If the ruling of down by contact is changed, the ball belongs to the recovering player at the spot of the recovery of the fumble.before they come back and rule on the westbrook reception at the 2...
was ruled a catch and down by contact...
on replay looks like it may have been a fumble but my question is since it was ruled down by contact can the skins be given the ball as a fumble recovery? i can see it being ruled incomplete but can they get it as a fumble recovery since the play technically is blown dead at contact?
Because decapitate means "to cut off the head of". So you want them to cut off the head of a foot? Why do they always decapitate the head? Why not decapitate a foot or something? The only injury left for Portis is decapitated head.
About to post the same thing. Especially considering Westy's injury history and knee problems. Makes no sense.Up 4 scores in the 4th quarter. Why are Wesbrook or McNabb for that matter in the game???
:whoosh:Because decapitate means "to cut off the head of". So you want them to cut off the head of a foot?
