With Green out, Gresham becomes the first look here down 17 points.

And now a second TD, this one to Gresham. Dalton moved them down the field very efficiently. The Ravens (and I) thought they had this one wrapped up but the redheaded kid won't go away.

Horrible call. In what world is that conclusive? How many steps did he take with the ball before he went to the ground anyway, 5? How many steps do you have to take before it's considered a catch and you can go to the ground?

On the other side of the coin, what the hell was Gresham thinking trying to use the ball to brace himself there. Tuck the ball under your arm and fall down like a man.

Stupid by Gresham, stupider by the refs.

Ravens with a monster break on the overturn. I was sure this would stand up.

If they cough up a quick three and out on this coming series, they could still be in a lot of trouble. They haven't really come close to slowing the Bengals down the last two series.

Worst rule ever... The only people who think that's not a td are the people that invented the rule.

The message that rule sends out is to encourage late hits after a receiver has caught a TD pass. Send him tumbling to the ground and hope the ball comes loose as he hits the ground. Gresham had possession and broke the plane, so what if the guy tackled him and the ball eventually came loose?

Even if they lose here, I am still encouraged by the way they are playing. Dalton has made some mistakes but he always just seems to shrug them off and bring the team back. This is worlds different than the past 5 years.

:goodposting: He's picking up right where he left off the last two drives, too. They're at midfield with 2 minutes left and he's hitting his receiver right in the hands or scrambling for first downs and the Ratbirds appear helpless to stop him.

Ultimately, that overturned touchdown has killed the Bengals. They could kick the tying FG here instead of having to go for it on 4th down. Way to go, NFL.

That's certainly true, but you also have to give huge props to the Raven's line- they rushed only 3 and pressured Dalton every time. Dierdorf is absolutely right.

Good game Ravens, See ya in the Nati to finish the season.
I don't think anybody around here thinks that that one couldn't go the other way. Ravens did some very nice things today but in the end were more than a little lucky to hold on.

By the way, the refs were right with the no-call on what the announcers were saying should have been a horse collar against Dalton. Horse collar doesn't apply to a QB in the pocket or to a runner between the tackles.
