Game Thread W11 - Cleveland V Jacksonville (1 Viewer)

Dawson misses another field goal. Despite the number of turnovers, Jags only trail 17-10. Jags defense is keeping them in this game while the offence blunders.

Garrard had Thomas wide open for a 50-yard TD bomb but he doesn't put enough into it. Joe Haden catches up to Thomas and breaks it up.

Not sure why they chose to throw instead of keeping it on ground. But after a sack and a dropped TD pass by Underwood, Garrard throws TD pass to Lewis. Tie game. JAX could win despite 6 turnovers.

Why are the announcers going on and on about the Browns' mismanagement of timeouts? There's three minutes left and they're inside JAX 20. They need to worry about not leaving too much time for JAX.

Probably because the Browns had to take 2 of them on defense when the Jags drove for their game tying TD.

Jennings comes in on attempted vulture but knee hits ground before he gets to the corner. MJD comes back in on 2d down and scores.

INT off deflection ices it for JAX. But if it had been a catch I don't see how CLE could have gotten another play off anyway.

Wow. 6 turnovers and Jags still win. Glad I'm not a Browns fan.

McCoy totally botching this hurry-up
There were a couple of catches whereby the receivers couldn't get out of bounds to stop the clock, those hurt.
Yeah. McCoy would have been better off throwing those away.
I'm not so sure I agree with that because those plays helped move them down the field.
Well not the pass to Stuckey for no gain which is what I was mainly referring to.

Hillis posted great receiving numbers, but his rushing numbers were very weak. Why did Cleveland struggle to rush the ball? Poor effort by Hillis, poor O line blocking, dominant rush D by Jax, a combination of sorts?

Saw Mangini in the presser vocalize his disappointment in not being able to run the ball effectively. Any chance Hillis gets in the doghouse or should he be ok? I'd hate to see a bunch of Mike Bell going forward. Mangini is cut from the Belicheck cloth so I’m a nervous Hillis owner here…..

Jacksonville did a good job on Arian Foster the week before, so they probably deserve some of the credit. Also the fact that Cleveland's WRs don't scare anybody can't help. Finally, I think Cleveland's line did have a bad day overall. Jacksonville getting 6 sacks without Kampmann was by far the most shocking stat of the game. On Browns Extra last night they pointed out that Cleveland has only played a few 4-3 teams and that their line also struggled against the last one they played which was Atlanta. Obviously Jacksonville probably studied that Atlanta tape heavily since they run the same defense.
