No idea what's going on in these guys' minds when they do stuff like that. I understand trying to make something happen but he was getting hit by two guys and had no control at all over where the ball was going. Just stupid.
Oh well, saves everybody the heartache of a Flacco INT or a Cundiff miss.
This is nothing new for Ed Reed. When he was in college against BC, BC was inside the 10 trying to pick up the game winning score. If Miami got the ball back they could take knees for the win. A Miami player intercepts the pass, starts running it back and Ed Reed strips it away FROM HIS OWN GUY so he can take the ball and run it back for a touchdown.
Well, just about everything the Ravens needed to happen for them to win, did. They just couldn't take enough advantage. I'd like to hear what happened at the goal line when the Ravens couldn't punch it in - either Flacco or Willis (or both) screwed up.
Baltimore's made their bed now. Realistically, they can only lose one more game to have a playoff chance and I'm having a hard time finding 5 wins with confidence.

They now need a split with the Stillers and a win at Green Bay. I think they'll get their Pittsburgh split this year but I don't know if they can beat a motivated (and still in it) Packers team at Lambeau. And after what happened to the division yesterday, we probably shouldn't take for granted a sweep of Oakland, Detroit and Chicago, those these are the kinds of teams they have been dominating of late. If we have to give them credit for anything the past two seasons, it's that they haven't lost any games to lesser teams. But the flip side of that is that they don't beat anybody ahead of them in the standings, either. We're apparently stuck in purgatory until they can make a big play at the end of a close game with a quality opponent -- sorta like the two big runs late at Dallas last year. Also, we now have to worry about Houston and Jacksonville. I see both those teams finishing at 9-7 but I'm wrong about this kind of stuff a lot. I don't know where the Ravens stand in tiebreakers with those two.
