Game Thread W11 - Indianapolis V Cincinnati (1 Viewer)

You don't go for 2 there? 35-33?
Never chase points this early. Look at the USC game last night. had they kicked an xp in the 3rd quarter they would have been up 9 at the end instead of 8. WAY too much time left to be giving a point away.

:goodposting: I know there's a school of thought that says never go for two until late in the game, but I disagree. Any chance you have to tie it up, you take.
Not with this much time left in the game you don't, esp. the way these 2 are going.PS although they made it, stupid for Colts to go for it IMO.

hm - then again, keeping in mind the joke that is the Colts' D today....

1-10-CIN 49 (11:20) (No Huddle) E.James left end to CIN 42 for 7 yards (K.Kaesviharn).2-3-CIN 42 (10:35) E.James right tackle to CIN 41 for 1 yard (J.Smith; K.Ratliff).3-2-CIN 41 (9:58) (No Huddle) E.James left end to CIN 41 for no gain (O.Thurman).4-2-CIN 41 (9:15) (No Huddle) E.James right tackle to CIN 35 for 6 yards (I.Ohalete).1-10-CIN 35 (8:30) (No Huddle) E.James right end to CIN 31 for 4 yards (O.Thurman; D.O'Neal).2-6-CIN 31 (7:47) (No Huddle) E.James left tackle to CIN 26 for 5 yards (C.Powell).3-1-CIN 26 (7:08) (No Huddle) E.James left guard to CIN 17 for 9 yards (I.Ohalete).Got Edge?

Gee what a cute little dance Jackson has. tee hee, giggle:X GDB the ghetto influence coming to Indy.

The Bengals need a little more resolve. When they're behind late they seem to lose steam.Have they had any late come from behind victories lately?

I have a feeling Peyton may come close to the alltime passing yards in a game record of 554 yards....
Not if he's ahead, he won't.
yes, because no one has ever accused Peyton of running it up.
It's not about running it up.It's about wasting time by running the ball. If Indy is up late, they always run with Edge to end it...and Peyton gets about 1 pass every 3-4 plays. The reason he gets accused of running it up is because he passes even that much, which is more than most teams.
you were saying?

That's GOT to be pass interference!

Man, the Colts have gotten the calls today when they've needed them...
Have they? I've seen 1 that looked like pass int. to me that wasn't called early in the game...might have missed some though. I think the Bengals got 1 also.Basically it's just the NFL refs continuing to suck this year, although overall this game I think they've been decent.

Edit: GOD the Colts' D (still) sucks.

No onside kick? Can't the Colts just run the clock out?Edit: Looks like maybe Gamecenter just set it up odd.

It was a strange onside kick. The Bengals put most of their players on the right side of the field. Then, they kicked it over the Colts players on the left side of the field. The ball went about 30 yards and there was a good scramble for the ball which the Colts got.A penalty is giving the Bengals another chance to onside kick.

on side kick but they kicked it deep to the side where there weren't a lot of players....really smart play, but didn't work. But penalty on Indy gives them another shot. 2nd kick coming.....
