Weather is fine - high 50s only 10% chance of precipitation and winds around 11 mph

but I have heard that field conditions are not good...but haven't seen that personally

Hopefully Steelers will rebound after a horrible performance last week.

On a fantasy note, I am starting Zack Miller will full confidence...

How do you mean? Lousy footing, muddy?
Poor playing conditions at Heinz Field under NFL scrutinyPITTSBURGH -- The NFL is closely monitoring conditions at Heinz Field, a league source said Sunday, after the Oakland Raiders became the latest Steelers opponent to complain about the playing surface.

The New England Patriots also complained about the field conditions last week.

The portion of the field between the hashmarks between the 30-yard lines is pocked with soft spots and areas where the sod easily comes out. The footing is poor there, and the Steelers plan to re-sod at some point, but timing is an issue.

The Steelers have a heavy home schedule, the University of Pittsburgh play here Friday, and Heinz Field also is home to high school playoff games. Therefore, the Steelers know this problem will be much worse before it can get better.

The NFL will remain in contact with the Steelers about the issue.

McFadden goes down hard and no flags. Refs, please do your job. Someone is gonna get hurt out there.

And Gay just batted the ball down hard. This is getting dangerous.

Unfortunately for the Steelers, their bad hits this season have earned them a reputation and they're getting some terrible calls against them now because of it.

wow, mendenhall really does turn ALL THE WAY AROUND when he's about to get hit to avoid contact...until a steelers fan brought that up last week, i didn't really notice it. looks kinda silly.

Steelers fans, it stinks when bad calls go against you, doesn't it?
Sure it does -- And yet, rather than folding like a cheap lawn chair after some bad calls and laying down to lose and then crying about the refs for the next 5 years… the Steelers made the plays on both sides of the ball to overcome the bad calls. Steelers leading 7-3.Some other teams should be taking some notes here.
