Game Thread W12 - San Diego V Indy (1 Viewer)

Peyton continues to be snakebitten against the Chargers. It would be interesting to see his average numbers against San Diego vs. the rest of the league.
They showed it earlier. I didn't catch the specifics, but I think they showed that among his passer ratings against specific opponents, his rating against the Chargers is his second worst (before tonight  ). I think they showed that he has 10 career TDs and 12 career interceptions against the Chargers. This made me curious so I looked it up. Turns out they were counting only regular season games. Adding in the two postseason games, Manning has faced the Chargers 8 times before tonight. Here are his composite numbers:218/356 (61.2%), 2555 passing yards (7.2 ypa, 319 yards per game), 14 passing TDs, 14 interceptions, 79.7 passer rating, 11 rushing attempts, 5 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD, 4-4 recordThe record hasn't been good, but he hasn't really been that bad overall. He had one really bad game, in which he had 6 interceptions, but otherwise he has been reasonably good. The real issue has been that Indy had lost 4 out of the last 5 coming into tonight.
They just threw up his efficiency ratings: 74 vs. Chargers, 96 vs. rest of the league.

Have the Colts had the ball in the 2nd half? Trying to watch on CBS sportsline and everytime I look online the Chargers have the ball.

C'mon GTP. I need 60 yards or a TD from Peyton. Let's see if they just run out the clock or try to produce against a prevent.

I guess they aren't including the two postseason games.

This is redunkulous. Since NFL players are million $ investments and get hurt easy it seems like when teams get up 18 points the teams would just kneel down and punt to run the clock out so no injuries happen except mqybe the punter but he is a punter so who cares right?

I knew I was going to have a stud named Peyton going down the stretch, I just didn't know his last name would be Hillis.

Charger receivers just got ##### slapped all night. Refs didn't help with no pass interference calls at all when there was bumping all night, but still. Catch the ball Wayne. Fight for a catch and position once in awhile. Receivers did Manning no favors tonight.

:goodposting:

Lost in 3 leagues cause Rivers numbers were not good, but it don't matter...seeing Bolts win like that, and a Manning look like that is AWESOME.

I especially like that Rivers played smart...took what they gave him, and as he said in the post interview, "took more checkdowns then all year". That is smart QB play.

Lost in mine as well. Had Rivers merely put up a little below his average I'd probably win because I still have a linebacker to go. I'd much rather having a Chargers victory over a FF win when I already have a first round bye locked up.
