nothing to dispute it. it has to be indisputable.I guess the KC paid the refs cause all the calls have went the Cheifs way

I think it's obvious to the eye that he did not make it to the first down mark.

Refs are obviously the most well paid professionals in the world, since they get accused of being paid of by BOTH sides every game every week.

Denver is still in this. Don't be so pathetic. The call was obvious.Edit: It's over now. They can't stop LJ even when they know he's coming. Denver defense looks worn out.

Not counting the total BS call on Lynch, think it's been a pretty evenly called game. God I hate the Chefs! :hot:

I actually think most of the calls have gone in the Chiefs favor. Maybe I'm biased.
When you have Phil Simms able to call holding from the booth and the refs are not calling it then yes the calls went with KC this game.

Suddenly I'm thinking Denver is no longer number 2 behind the Colts on anyone elses power rankings.
Well, you could make a case for Cincy, but this game shouldn't be enough to drop Denver. KC is a helluva place to play and they are really clicking offensively right now.

On a side note, I think I busted a gut yelling and throwing myself around during this game.

Why? The Bengals and Jags are the only other 9-3 teams in the NFL right now and I would still put them ahead of both (given that Jacksonville has had an easy schedule and Denver beat them in Jacksonville and the Bengals, despite the win today, still do not have a lot of impressive wins this season).

I didn't see today's game, but this is a game I figured the Broncos would lose. The way I see it, they can still lose at SD, but as long as they win their last two home games and at Buffalo, they will still be 12-4 and win the AFC West, although SD or KC could win out and tie them (and then the tiebreakers come into play), but both have too many tough games and are not likely to win out. SD would have to win at KC and at Indy still and the odds of KC winning out with that schedule is 100 to 1. So, as long as Denver takes care of business the rest of the way, they are still looking at a 12-4 record. The concern then would be getting that first round bye over Cincinnati. The number three seed will likely have a ##### of a first round playoff game (likely against SD, KC or maybe Pitt) while NE, the four seed, will probably get the Jaguars.

Let's end this right now--this game did nothing to change the rankings.

Indy is #1

Den is #2

Cin is #3
Yes, this is the right answer. Had Denver pulled out the victory, I might put them ahead of Indy.Nah, I'm just kidding--but the gap wouldn't be as wide as many consider it. As it is, I think Indy is the best team in football by a good margin and will probably rumble to the Super Bowl relatively unimpeded. I don't know if unimpeded is a word, and I don't really care.. it works.

Also, as much as I love Plummer, I just don't have much confidence in him to win close games. I know he has a lot of come from behind victories in his career, but most came in Arizona when he was always behind anyway.Put Elway in the situation Jake was in today, and I think everyone in Denver assumes victory--with Jake, I think most of us forget to breathe and pass out from oxygen deprivation.

I didn't say Denver wouldn't be deserving of the number 2 spot, its just that tough losses like this tend to drop everyone's perception of a team. I had hoped Denver had improved enough this season to finally be able to take KC at home this week, but apparently not. I AM encouraged by KC's closing schedule. Can't imagine a tougher set of games to be played by anyone these last 4 weeks. If KC gets in, they will most certainly have earned their spot.

I too had hoped Denver would overcome that hump and take KC down in KC. But, this was a very big step up from last year's game. This game tells us a lot about Denver's chances of winning in Indy come playoff time. Not good. If they get there this year, hopefully in the AFC Championship game, I think it'll be a better game than the last two years, but I see us Denver fans being in for a big disapointment.

Definately hard to overcome tradition isn't it?? I hope we're both wrong.

Plummer still makes me nervous in the clutch, too. I think the play-calling at the end of last week's game and this week's just shows that Shanahan doesn't have a ton of faith in him. And I just saw the highlights of the game and that penalty on Lynch was terrible. There is no way that should have been a penalty. Instead of 3rd and long, the Chiefs were given a first down at the 5-yard line. Horrible call. But, given that Denver had the ball several more times and allowed Johnson to get a first down with less than two minutes to go, they had their chances to still win the game and came up short. That is okay, though. I will take a 9-3 record at this point.
