Game Thread W14 - Atlanta V Tampa Bay (1 Viewer)

Norwood with the last 3 rushes. is Dunn hurt?
No, Dunn isn't hurt. All week long here in Atlanta, the talk was the Coaching staff knew they needed to get Norwood more involved earlier in the games & it looks like they're actually doing what they said they would.

good deal. bout time they get the better back more involved.

Why is Schaub in the game?? Is Vick hurt?
Actually - nevermind - saw it was 4th down... must have been a botched snap for a FG
Yep. Schaub fumbled the bad snap. Atlanta's Special Teams play, has not been so special. Rossum muffed, then recovered & then fumbled the opening kick off too. Luckily when he fumbled it, he did so out of bounds.

Pick by Buchannon. Lelie just stopped on that play & let Buchannon have it. Didn't jump for it or anything, just flat out gave up on it.

Vick with 1 rush....Falcons have no chance if he decides not to run.
It's not about whether or not Vick decides to run. Looks like Tampa has made a concious decision to take out Vick in the Zone Option read with a defender left home right on top of him. Of course that's just opened things up for Norwood & Dunn.A much more deciding factor, is if the Falcons WR's are going to make some plays in this game or not. Right now, it's looking like not to me.

Better play for the Special Teams would help too.

Man, if only the Falcons WRs could all have a great game again like they did few weeks ago. It's so crazy that they're always all on or all off.

What's going on with the review?

They can review it because it resulted in a TD?

If they would of tackled him before he scored, it wouldn't be reviewable?

That's the first Red-Zone INT the Bucs have gotten all year. Nice work, Falcons!
That pick was all on Lelie.
:lmao: I just saw the replay. Where can I get a set of blinders like that?
Just out of curiosity, did you see Lelie even try to make a play on the for ball? Or did you see Lelie just quit running & stand there to admire Buchanon make the pick like I did?Just want to make sure we saw the same thing on that pick.

But he wants to be the #1 WR and he will hold out to get it. :D

And where does that make it "all on Lelie?"No, he didn't go for it and might have been able to tip the ball. That doesn't mean that the placement of a pass where only the defender can make a play on it is completely excusable.

Buchanon was the only one with a chance at that pass. That makes it not all on Lelie, even though he didn't go up for the uncatchable pass.

One thing with Knapp's offense. It is soooo predictable. If they line up with Griffith as the lone back, it is a pass 100% of the time. When Tampa sees that, their D immediately switches to pass mode.

I love reading Vick threads for the humor.

He ran the wrong route to begin with as the announcers mentioned & then commited the cardinal sin of giving up on it.As I said, that was 100% on Lelie.

And as I'm typing Knapp's play calling of always passing when Griffith is the lone back, results in a TD rush for Griffith.

Fooled not only Tampa, but me too. :D

Because if Vick threw the wrong pass instead the whole world would explode.

As mentioned in the post you quoted when asking the question, Announcers called it. Also sideline close ups of Vick talking to Lelie and using hand motions of how he should've run the route & then Knapp talking to Lelie, all the while Lelie hanging his head. Why did you ask? From what you saw, did you think he ran the right route?
