Game Thread W14 - New England V Miami (1 Viewer)

General thoughts on the game, Bri? Final score prediction?
Announcers keep saying (Taylor and Zach) Miami D gets into brady's head. I'm sitting here saying No but they might be right. Horrible execution by both teams so far on O.Waiting for one to wakeupPats keep going back to a 4 WR set with Watson and Graham as the inner WRs. I like that alot. I figure one TE will have a big day if not both. Graham's already got a few but Watson should go deep soon
So....60/40 Pats win?
No they'll win, it just won't be pretty. No way Harrington can beat a BB D. An INT is a lock IMO

That punt seemed super short

IIRC Pats were at about Fins 44 yl now Fins have it at 22 or 23yl

Morris and Booker catches, I'm falling behind

Harrington had nothing ran out of bounds

32 sec at about 44 of NE

shovel to McMichael great fighting effort to get out of bounds

Harrington fell over Wilfork's helmet and Wilfork got a penalty. Wilfork was on the ground first, awful call

Harrington limping

Chambers is lying down hurt, legs caught up under him trying to block

I thought after all the segments on how bad these Roughing the QB penalties have been that we would have not seen any really really bad ones called again. But hey, I turn to the game and I see that Wilfork was pushed to the ground and Harrington trips over his head. Wilfork is flagged. Makes sense

harrington throws it away

That BS penalty has the Fins going from 42-44 to somewhere around 27yl. Gift of a field goal

Oh and I forgot to mention that Fins fans actually sound pretty intelligent. It seems as if they were booing when they saw the "roughing" replay, great jorb refs.

not game changing too much(FG) or too important like some calls this year but...that might be the worst call of the year because it was so obvious

That was BY FAR the dumbest, worst roughing the passer call ever. Are you KIDDING me????
wish it were on youtube so we could show others
Seriously.I'm not huge on complaining about calls. I mean, holding calls, pass interference, judgement calls are one thing... But that call was so pathetic, this crew should never work another game. It was that egregious.

Ugh. Win or lose, this is 3 miserable Patriots performances in a row.

They're smelling like one-and-done to me.

Fins really owned us on that last posession.

Dave Thomas in for Watson.

Graham better get on Taylor's side while Watson is out.

Wilfork was hurt too last I saw, hopefully he'll be back.

BTW Watson got hurt going deep sorta hit high and low and tripped over low defender

Miami Punter looks to be player of the week for ST, despite return men today. Definitely a great game for a punter.

Wilfork still out BTW

BBs gotta move Seymour around, I haven't heard his name much today

This game is coming down to punting:

MIA, D. Jones: 39 yd avg, 38 yd net.

NE, K. Walter: 34 yd avg, 25 yd net.

Hideous, hideous performance. It's like Walter is kicking into the wind in both directions.

TD: Harrington to Booker, 32 yds. 13-0, Phins.

This game is over. New England annually gacks up one hairball against Miami... this year is no exception.

New England's in a pretty bad funk right now. They've looked bad in five of their last six games.

Houston gives them a nice breather, but they'll probably lose one of their last two on the road (Jax, Ten). That gives the Jets the chance to steal the division if they run the table.

Get those quick passes going

(like that one)

and run Dillon, he had 50ish in the first half

These plays that expect Brady to have time to throw just stink

Maybe next drive

horrible game by the Pats
Yep. Bout sums it up. They got exposed by the Miami pass rush today. The Pats offensive line was a turnstile all day long.
Well I think the Pats line is good, not great or anything but good. I don't think they got exposed, just "flat" all day.Plus with Brady, that guy is so due for a bad game. No big deal.

BTW Chase, Pats need DB help as ya know. Don't ya think signing Mickens was a good move?

Watson did not return. I am interested in the nature and extent of his injury. Can anyone please clarify what happened to Ben Watson?

Matt Light has faced Jason Taylor twice a year since 2001. He usually has trouble against him, but today was unreal. I wouldn't be surprised to hear a story about Light playing hurt or staying out all night Saturday night.

Brady had 70 yards at the half and 78 for the game...yup, that's EIGHT 2nd-half passing yards. That doesn't count the sack yardage.
