Game Thread W17 - New England V Tennessee (1 Viewer)

How important is Wilfork to the Patriots run defense? They haven't stopped anyone since he got hurt.

As a Pats fan I was very proud of their effort today. They played a team that was sky high and looking to beat them up phyically in a very chippy game. The Pats held their ground, counterpunched and took the Titans out in solid fashion. If the Pats play like they have the last two weeks in the playoffs they are a legit title contender.

*Mike Wright has been a huge addition. The kid seems to get better every week and right now is a high quality backup at the nose.

*Pacman is as good as you get in the return game. Wow. He's a threat every time he touches the ball.

*Ellis Hobbs is an excellent return man as well. He definetly has the potential to take it the distance every time he touches it.

*Chad Jackson showed some serious athletic flashes today. If the Pats can get his head of his butt he could really be a threat.

*Brady is just a stud. He's tough as nails and never backs down.

*Vince definetly saw some looks today he's never seen before.

*Hopefully Harrison is ok because losing him would be a huge negative.

*Tully Banta Cain has been playing a lot steadier of late.

Hopefully this pathetic performance by VY puts an end to the ROY talk.
I actually liked what I saw of him. He had a rough day but BB has a way of doing that to young QBs. Even though things were rough he played very hard, didn't let up and you can definetly tell he's a big time leader. IMO VY is going to be a big time stud for years to come.

Oh stop with the "fishing trip" crap. I'm tired of reading it. It might just be that LHUCKS is very passioniate about his beliefs. And you know what? You just might expect to run into those types of people on a message board. Sheesh.

 He looked like crap today and has only looked good in a handful of games...if he wins the ROY it's a complete joke.

nice logic there

Vinnie to Troy Brown? Is that the oldest TD hookup in the history of the NFL?
Very interesting question. Vinny (43) to Troy (35) make 78. I checked to see if George Blanda might have a claim on that record. He threw a TD in 1974 when he was 47 years old but his receiver, Cliff Branch, was only 26. Dilfer (32) threw a TD to Rice (42) in 2004. I think Gannon threw his last TD pass to Rice in week 13 of 2002 when Gannon was 36 and Rice was 40.

I agreeI was hoping to see some more passes thrown Dave Thomas' way again this week The deep ball looked especially good this week.

I thought we'd see more of Thomas today as well. I'm pretty high on him and think he'll end up being a reliable target for Brady. Yet, that's typical Patriots...you never know from week to week how much a WR/TE will be used.

Well, I guess we'll all just be laughing away then, as it is a :IBTL: .
