I'm sure Palmer is just trying to show belief in his team. It can be argued that this is good leadership, but at some point, the Bengals need to realize that while they are talented, they are not nearly as good as they collectively think they are. Palmer may have accomplished more good in the long term if he had focused on the less than inspired effort a potential playoff team showed in their final game against a heated rival. Steeler fans hope the Bengals continue to talk better than they walk, because if they ever get focused, they would be a serious championship threat. Every time the Bengals talk about how the better team lost (when it's them), they delay their progress toward true greatness. Last year of course it was Palmer's injury, this year it's the "better team" losing in at least 3, maybe 4 games. The only common element through these past few years is that the Bengals keep coming up short. That's not what the "better teams" do.
