You bring a half of footballs stats.Ill bring a guys career resume.Perhaps Gibbs agrees with your line of thinking. Perhaps Portis would not have scored the TD either. Of course,We know Betts couldnt do it. Whether or not Portis' ability and presence in the huddle and on the field could have is up for debate. Which, it shouldn't be. He is the better player (nfl wise) and should have been there.it's week 3, division is still tight, Betts is a very good back arguably(note last year's per start production) the best backup in football. Gonna go get Portis' 2nd half stats....gimme one sec on those.Play to Sellers, good call somewhat expected as they like that guy in tight spots. One run, fine call2nd run, very rushed yet there's 30 seconds on the clock. What's going on? plenty of time left....Campbell's fault IMO Had they set up, I don't think they run and/or the blocking would be better(couldn't be worse) if they did.Um, njust like other thread, you guys must've missed the Portis fumbleur whole point is even after a fumble you don't cut off your teams nose to spite its face. Their best player was on the sideline why, to teach some lesson? Seems counterproductive is all.
Spiking it on first down with 50 seconds left is moronic.
15 yards in 2nd half, a fumble, a catch for minus 4 yards, a drop...cmon nowTwo threads on this topic, as I said in the other I think Portis in 2nd half was not anywhere near as good as the first and his head wasn't in it. You've got to be kidding me. Did you even watch the game. Wash was getting abused up front at the LOS the entire 2nd half.15 yards in 2nd half, a fumble, a catch for minus 4 yards, a drop...cmon nowTwo threads on this topic, as I said in the other I think Portis in 2nd half was not anywhere near as good as the first and his head wasn't in it. The ball was handed off very poorly by Campbell and half the blame for it (or more) is his. You must have missed that.just like other thread, you guys must've missed the Portis fumble
I agree. Rabach finally resorted to grabbing guys as they went past him. You've got to be kidding me. Did you even watch the game. Wash was getting abused up front at the LOS the entire 2nd half.
OK, unrelated to Portis now. WTF was up with Wash leaving a TE to block Strahan 1-1 3 times in the 4th quarter in known passing situations with the game on the line? Simply absurd scheme and play calling all around in that 2nd half by Wash. To make matters worse, NYG played a ton better and were executing the way a real NFL team should. Congrats to them.I agree. You can't block Kiwi, Osi, Tuck, and Strahan when they all have their ears pinned back.Run it right at em'. Quick quick pass. Gotta do something to slow down their jump on the ball. It's 2 pro bowlers, a HOFer, and a guy playing better than the other 3 this year. As I mentioned before though, I was shocked the Giants coverred well in the 2nd half. They haven't in like a year and a half or so. I don't fault Campbell too much for figuring his WRs would get open.jurb26 said:OK, unrelated to Portis now. And you run right at a DE that's making a quick jump. He's out of position to stop the run then. Also Kiwi was horrible at LB so far this year IMO. He looked like a pro bowler today, even Mitchell looked pretty good. First Sunday I didn't think "Why'd they draft DeOssie's son if they're not gonna play him?" Their might be some blame for Sellers in their too or maybe just kudos to Kiwi this week. It was a real dramatic improvement thoughjurb26 said:You've got to be kidding me. I didn't think so. You've got a point about sharing the blame. However, I can't imagine any coach listenning to a RB whining "he didn't hand it to me well." Can you?fatness said:The ball was handed off very poorly by Campbell and half the blame for it (or more) is his. I haven't even dared to go over there yet. It's bad enough to lose, but I can't stand the apocalyptic tone of around 70% of the people who post there after a loss.Bankerguy said:Total meltdown over at extremeskins.com
You're getting people mixed up. That was fatness saying it to Bri. We're not Portis and Gibbs.I didn't think so. You've got a point about sharing the blame. I agree about the Giants covering well in the second half. I'm not too upset about Campbell's throws --- he's still learning where to expect each receiver to be, where they like to receive the ball, etc. But I'm a bit concerned about his 3 fumbles. That can't keep up.As I mentioned before though, I was shocked the Giants coverred well in the 2nd half. They haven't in like a year and a half or so.
