Game Thread W3 - Philadelphia V San Francisco (1 Viewer)

I like how the starter leaves the game with an injury, his backup comes in, and people already start talking RBBC. This is what I love about you guys. Awesome!
Hey...... if the guy can't get it done on the GL....
That would make him, what, the GL back? Glad I could help  I mean, let's ignore the fact that the starter was 2nd in the league in yards from scrimmage prior to this game, and also completely ignore the fact that Norv Turner never uses a RBBC.

But, you're right, if the starter got hurt, this MUST be RBBC.

He scored putting said starter out of the game.
Solid misinformation here  For those not watching, Gore was injured, Robinson then scored.

HTH

My bad, I misread. I thought the backup comment was in reference to the defense.Instead I should have said "The backup did twice in 2 carries (put the ball across the goal line) what the starter couldn't do in 4 attempts, and lost the ball completely on one attempt."

Cal Ripkin came into a game once because the starter got hurt.

hello.please keep the michael robinson information coming because....if you play yahoo, at least, he is listed as a WR/RB which would make him a potentially devastating weapon because if you threw him in there at WR and he was getting the PT at RB for the 49ers, he would put up very nice numbers for a WR, if not a RB.
which is why I just picked him up in Yahoo..(Gore owner)

Good analogy  Good luck with Robinson in your dynasty league

M-Rob gets his 2nd penalty of the day, negating another big Bryant grab.... Combined with his pass protection, no way Robinson is the main back in the near future.

Also, Bryant is going to lead the league in long catches called back by penalty this year.

I dont own either, so I am objective here. You want to ignore that Robinson is doing what Gore has not been able to to on the goal line. Ignore it if you wish, I just dont think the SF coaching staff will.

Please don't forget that Gore has been carrying the ball for 3 quarters and getting battered. Robinson came in completely fresh after the Eagles D was playing for 45 minutes. Robinson better be able to carry the ball 1 yard.

Are you watching the actual game, or just surmising from the internet?

Hope to see you back here next week, fella. :bye:
I am not saying he will replace gore, but I bet we see more of him in the future. His performance today diminishes Gores value. :hey:

Akers just sucks now. Total crapshoot when he kicks. Used to be perfect draw, always in the center. Now he looks like Mickelson in the Ryder Cup. Horrible. I'm cuttin his ###.

Well if Gore was 2nd on the league in yards from scrimmage.....imagine what Robinson would be. Don't worry... you still might be able to move Gore for a decent 2 or3 WR.

What's funny about all of this is last week the DeAngelo owenrs were saying Foster was done after Williams had a very good week and RBBC had begun.Where was DeAngelo this week?

I hear you on this one. I've lost so many points this year to missed FGs by this bum. Thinking I might pick up Robby Gould as he is available

That's not even a good analogy. Foster was healthy and playing and Williams was still getting carries and looking better. Gore gets hurt at the end of the 3rd quarter, his backup gets two fortuitous goal liners and cashes in for TDs on both, and it's suddenly RBBC. Pretty comical.

So when Gore cant get in from the one it is good defense, but when someone else can it is luck? :suds:

Like I said, this argument is silly and circular. See you next week, when the Niners backfield comes out in non-RBBC with Frank Gore as the starter. :bye:

Here's a total :fishing: trip, but...

what if Gore decided to fake the injury in order to cover his ### for not only fumbling on the goal line, but also for not getting up to try and catch a defensive lineman who was lumbering 98 yards down the field?

that would be awesome, and a  to Gore for such quick wits.

Otis......time to wake up.....stop dreaming......

I think it's pretty important to note how Nolan has the 49ers play to the very end in every game. He even just onside kicked it with 6 seconds left even though they were down by 14. Lots of garbage time fantasy points to be had for the 49ers this year.

I didn't see the game and did not read the whole game thread, so my apologies if this has been covered: no catches for Vernon Davis? Did he play?

Thank you. Seriously hurt?

edit: nevermind. Injury says it's a calf strain.

especially against the eagles, who don't have any ability to run out the clock.

Bryant had a 49 yard reception, then it was taken away. What happened??
Negated by a penalty by Robinson.
Does this make Hicks the starting RB then?
Maybe it does (HULK),....... maybe it does.
Well, it was made clear that the coaches at San Fran demote people for small mistakes after they demoted Gore for getting injured and fumbling. My new prediction is that Hicks will take over and never look back. Hello 2,000 combined yards and 20 tds.
