Game Thread W4 - Buffalo V St.Louis (1 Viewer)

Bills need to ice the game with a long touchdown drive and Lynch is on the bench :goodposting: obvious Lynch owner here....ETA-just had an 11 yard run; are they switching series? Fred the 3rd down back for this drive?
The Bills are really just mixing and matching Jackson and Lynch. Jackson is just too explosive not to use him more. I know a lot of guys looked at the Bills and saw Lynch as a workhorse that wouldn't share any time, but after seeing what Jackson brings to the table last year, the Bills clearly realized they needed to get him more involved.
Thanks for the info GroveDiesel, I've got Fred on my team also. I'm watching the SD game also and they keep putting Sproles in for what I presume are similar reasons.

Problem is the Bills aren't going to get their lesson out of this. If they pull out a win, they'll play like #### for first half or first 3 quarters again next week. Sooner or later that's going to bite them in the ###, especially against a better team. Chargers week 7 is going to be a nightmare if the Bills don't show up until the 4th quarter
IMO poor defensive play is much more indicative of lacking intensity/preparation than the offense. To that extent I think you have to give Oakland some credit for last week...But yeah, not sure why the 1st half today was so poor against a lousy OL.Also I continue to be very concerned about our run-blocking considering the Rams front 7 is supposed to be garbage...Lynch & Jackson basically do everything on their own.

Lynch is a beast, he runs hard, never gives up, and it no doubt tires him. After a tough run he usually takes a breather or runs 1 more play before getting a breather. It's smart on the Bills behalf to keep both backs rested so they're more explosive. As well as increasing the longevity of their careers.

Not just the run blocking, they got alot of pressure on Edwards today.Much more than we got on an ancient QB with no OL. I'm concerned with every aspect of the team except the run game.

They put it back. Not sure why, but for about 15 minutes it was gone.

did they really go for it there? Linehan is a moron. There's 8 minutes left.
Yes, giving the ball back without a struggle is definitely the way to get your first win. :D
they were on the 20, and his d had played well. SD scored 18 pts in 1:15. Plenty of time to not hand it over.
You are talking about the 4th and 2 from their own 45 with ~10 minutes left, right?

yeah. might have been off on the yardage, as when i looked back bills were at 25-30. But that's the one. On yor own half the field. Pin em deep. hope for a muff. a pick 6. Fumble. Blitz all out. Plenty of time left.Caveat: when i made the original post, did not know 4th and 2. But I still think too early to go for it at that point. You are putting all eggs in one basket.

Not sure how it can be the least of your worries, but I agree that the pass blocking has shown some leaks for the 2nd straight week. Not sure if teams have picked up something on film to figure out our protection packages, or if it's just a matter of Peters sucking. BTW much like Nick Saban last night I'm happier than I appear. Never thought I'd be complaining after a 17pt Bills road win.
