Game Thread W4 - Seattle V Washington (1 Viewer)

:whew:Can't comment a lot since I didn't see it, but I really didn't expect this to be so close after scoring to make it 17-3. Shick, I would take heart in the fact that they battled back on the road against a tough D.

What a clutch moment. Novak has to back up and kick it again and the 2nd attemtp from 40 would have been good through uprights 4 feet wide. J

Washington gets the ball first in overtime. Can they win? Sure. Maybe Brunell will march them down the field, but I don't expect to see Brunell have a better game than this for the rest of the season.
The converted quite a few 3rd-and-long's this game. Brunell looks more comfortable in the offense. His timing is good with the TE's and with Moss; it is still off when he passes to Patten (who was open and missed several times) and Portis.Santana Moss is just plain good. The guy gets open and catches the ball. He was open all game.

Skins offense skyrocketed upwards to "average" this game. If that continues and this defensive play continues they will be over .500.

Alexander and Portis each had between 90-100 yards rushing. Portis got loose more early in the game, Alexander in the later part.

Engram was open all the time until his ribs got hurt. Other than that the Skins covered the pass pretty well.

Both teams doinked a FG, so that evened out. Skins ended up with a significant tiime-of-possession advantage. Skins had one penalty.

This was not a fluke win. Seattle was not bad today. They just got beat.
