Game Thread W4 - Seattle V Washington (1 Viewer)

Jackson?

Dinged?

What? How many targets?
Why are so many of you surprised that the Was D is shutting these guys down? I benched SA for this game due to that very reason.

Not surprised they are shutting them down... just wondering how the game is going as I cannot view it myself. Honestly, it looks to be like a good game... I like a defensive game myself.

Well, basically Wash is dominating the game. They are controling the ball and killing in TOP. Sea and their O is simply not geting much of a chance to do much. Even when they do, the Wash D is stoping them for the most part.

Just saw at halftime updates... TOP = 22:00 vs. 8:00. Cant do much without the ball.

nice 15 yarder by Portis
This Skins O is looking MUCH better after the bye week.
the question is, what do we attritbute it to:Momentum from Dallas game?

Offense finally clicking?

Seattle simply a terrible road team?

Bye week rest helping them out?

The first two options would be better for the Skins because they show that perhaps that Skins have finally turned their poor O around. But the last two could just be a fluke for this week. So which is it? The Skins don't need a powerhouse offense...just a ball control/no mistakes offense, which is just what they're doing here.

Seattle's rush D is not that good, Portis rips off a nice 13 yarder, then 2 yards. Then on first 2 downs after that they try and pass-----GIVE PORTIS THE BALL---and yes I am a Portis owner.

I would attribute it to.1) Ramsey getting a concuscion

2) Brunell being healthier than he was last year

3) Brunell starting to get comfortable with his new receivers when he worked with the 2nd team most of the pre-season

It was pretty obvious to me that Brunell was throwing the ball a lot better this year.

Mark Brunell actually looks like he knows what he's doing, which is a first for a Redskins QB since Brad Johnson.

Horrible call. I was on the phone when it happened telling my buddy I thought the refs were doing a really good job, letting the players play and taking time to get it right. That's one of the worst calls I've seen all year.

The time of possession is awesome in this game. The Seahawks simply can't keep the offense on the field and the Redskins are just chewing up clock time.On the other hand...the Skins are a fantasy wasteland. Even when they do score, Robert Royal and Mike Sellers?

Just how bad is the Washington offense? Pretty bad. So far in this game I've seen Washington in 3rd and 9, 14, 13, 12, 10, 10, and 9. They've picked up all of these but one, and they have only 17 points in the game. When they face a better defense they're going to get killed.

Ah the old 3rd and long draw play and to someone NOT named Alexander to boot. I know the D is sticky and giving him fits, but GO FOR THE KILL AGAIN this week. Holmgren is responsible for many gray hairs.

I'm not being clear. The Seattle pass rush is non-existent. When Washington faces anything close to an average defense Brunell is going to get killed.

and why exactly is the Seattle pash rush non-existant? Maybe because of Washington's o-line?

Yes, good Olines have a tendency to do that.

Seriously, if you're going to count on Brunell converting 3rd and 10+ all game long every game you're in for a very long season.
