Game clock/play clock glitch. He thought the 2 minute warning would come before a timeout was needed.

As a diehard Redskins fan, I love the Cowboys play-calling right now. The way to beat us is to continually run it right at our undersized d-line, like the Giants did with Jacobs. Instead the Cowboys keep passing like the Saints and Cards tried to do. What's most surprising is that the Cowboys have the O-line and RB (Barber) to eventually wear us down.Hopefully we can score right here so that they won't be able to go to the run game in the 2nd half.(I'm still a little surprised by how much Betts is playing this game. Portis is a better blocker so that doesn't explain why Betts is in on passing downs. I hope Portis doesn't have an injury that is keeping him out. Betts was in before and after the 2 minute warning.)

I don't think that's a good play call for Washington. Throw a fade to a short receiver isn't a high percentage play from 2 yards out, especially with the new push out rule.
