Game Thread W5 - Buffalo V Arizona (1 Viewer)

Marshawn has not run the ball well this year.
Seems like since Jason Peters came back the OL has been worse. He has no room to run
Agreed. Peters has never been a terrific run blocker, but he has not been very good all around after missing the entire preseason. I still think the Bills may just be better off writing Peters off for the year and moving Walker back to LT with Chambers at RT. Maybe I'm just bitter about the holdout though.

That was interesting - Hightower was in on 1st and goal from the 5 (a four-yard pass), but then was replaced by James on 2nd and goal on the 1. That's really good news for Edge owners.

Not bitter at all.... I feel the same.

Is Adrian Wilson still in the game?
Not sure, but I know the radio guys I'm listing to said earlier that he was out after the hit on Edwards. They haven't said anything about him coming back in, but it's possible they just missed it. Hasn't seemed to be in any plays though.

Buffalo's defense HAS to step up and get some pressure on Warner. Arizona has scored on every single drive now. I don't even want to think about what it would look like if Boldin was playing. Bills need McGee back badly.

How are they getting all these holes? This D looks terrible.
I'm not watching, just listening, but my guess is that Ellison is just being completely worthless out there. Way too many tackles by the secondary. Ellison only has 1 tackle so far in the game. The other thing is that Stroud is hobbled right now so I'm sure that he's not eating up as much space as he normally would.ETA: Need a stop here.

You've got to be kidding me. Finally have the stop and then offsides on the FG attempt. Absolutely ridiculous. That's something that a special teamer should be cut for.

Didn't look offsides to me... I thought it was a pretty bogus call. It's like calling holding on a FG attempt... c'mon. And it's not just the players on D... the playcalling is leaving the screens and draw plays wide open.

AZ is a completely different team at home. The D has been fairly aggressive all year and it's finally starting to result in some big plays.

Might as well have just given the game to the Cards as soon as Edwards got hurt. Losman sucks.
Playcalling is absolutely terrible. 100% conservative since Edwards got injured. Newsflash, you're not going to get 17+ points by running. They need to open the offense up or just give them the game.

I'm watching the game and honestly Losman has been fine. As a Vikings fan, we'd happily take him off your hands. He messed up on the fumble, but nothing has been his fault. AZ is a legit team.

Bills D didn't even get off the plane today. Losman did fine for the most part. Running game was shut down by the Cards.

This really isn't that bad of a loss to take since it's out of conference. They also needed a bit of a wake up call after sleepwalking through games a bit and coming on to win them late. Taking this loss into their bye week should also keep them motivated and focused for when they come back in week 7 at home against the Chargers. They follow up that game with 3 straight games against the AFC East. I think those 4 games are going to tell us a lot about this team and whether they are really as good as their record indicates.

What the heck is **** Juaron doing!? Why wouldn't he challenge that fumble!? :coffee:
:goodposting: It was a fumble. This game was awesome.

Cards looked great.

Bills O was questionable. Losman didn't play too bad, but the turnovers killed. Looks like the old JP holding onto the ball forever in the pocket too. Playcalling was pretty poor, IMO....went very conservative after Edwards went out.

Defense couldn't stop the Cards to save their lives. Warner played very efficiently. I can honestly only remember 1 play in the entire game when the Bills rushed more than the 4 down linemen......1.

The wishful part of me wants to think this game would have been different if Edwards were playing....but with the defense playing like that....I don't think so.

This is all true. I've never liked JP, but blaming him for this game is ridiculous. Same with Ellison. Bottom line is the entire front 7 was manhandled. If our overpaid DE's didn't have so many games like this maybe they'd have a legit gripe in complaining how they're so underrated. As you say it's not the end of the world to lay an egg in a non-conference road game, but that it happened against an OL as crappy as Arizona's doesn't bode well for the upcoming SD & NE games.
