Game Thread W6 - Detroit V NY Giants (1 Viewer)

Is the turf toe completely limiting Best's burst, or was that one monster game a complete and total fluke?

CB gambled late and Calvin was able walked 50 yards into endzone.

Ah, you're right...it looked at first like there was nobody within 10 yards of him but it looks like the CB just stumbled while the ball was in the air and the safety came over the top to try for a pick rather than defend the player.
 
You wonder how he ever puts up numbers

Wouldn't you much rather say we shut down Calvin but Burleson/Johnston/Pettigrew/Scheffler went off

As someone posted earlier, his first six carries were all for one yard each - and it seemed like he had to bust his butt just to get those six yardsHe looked great in space on that one play they lined him up wide and threw him a bubble screenI think he has looked OK, but def not the centerpiece right now
 
That Follett injury didn't look good. I didn't see any movement from him at all, even when they were rolling him off.

I know people say there are no moral victories and all that, but I am impressed with how the Lions have battled all year against some good teams. Down to the 2nd QB (and now their 3rd) they are still bringing it every game. I am happy with how they have progressed to this point.

I know that is the CW this year, and its why I posted #124Its a results oriented leagueYou're not really better until your record says you are.You CANNOT fumble away the game when you are driving for the win.Sick of this b.s.We outplayed them we should be winning if we had players that kept their crap together instead of making stupid penalties.

I get the results orientated league bit. But this is a team that was losing by 20+ points a game two years ago. Not really sure what people expected to happen this year. People get carried away with the way teams supposedly turn around in one year and become very good. The teams that have done that were not the worst teams in the history of the NFL. The team is headed in the right direction, but it isn't going to happen overnight.

almost an interception

fumble by Stanton throws it away

another third down scrambles for it gains almost 20

couple passes for a third 1st down to the Giants 38

can we hope? oh, #### no...pass off the hands of Pettigrew, safety Rolle intercepts

He has been matched up 1-1 for most of the day with alphonso smith and he has been targeted regularly.

they went to him first play of the game....then he was open for a td but manning overshot him......no real big chances after that
