Game Thread W7 - New England V San Diego (2 Viewers)

It was close enough that there was no reason for Hester not to jump on the ball.
Totally agree. Whether the ruling was fair or not, that's just a bad play by Hester. I've been slow to blame Norv, but this is very clearly a poorly coached football team.
Here we go. "C'mon Norv, you've got to COACH these guys to not fumble untouched when you're not down and recover laterals instead of staring at the ball!!!!!"
You can't spell Norv Turner without Turnover.I would blame coaching for the Hester play only because the same thing has already happened this season. There have been at least two plays that were very close between being forward and backward, where I've wondered why in the world the RB wouldn't fall on the ball. This is the first time it was called a backward pass, but it's not the first time it could have been. There's simply no reason to stop playing before the whistle blows, but the Chargers do it pretty regularly.
You can't coach stupid. The Chargers have been one of the more physically talented teams for a few years, but they are also the dumbest team in the NFL by a wide margin.

You know who doesn't drop passes? Antonio Gates.
The last pass that was thrown to him, he was open and he dropped it.
You must be mistaken, MT.
The one before that touchdown. ;)
I don't remember that play.CBS sportsline says that TD was his first target of the day.
His previous target was against the Rams. He dropped it.

Wow, crushing to kick the kickoff out of bounds. Special teams bites them again. Just fire the ST coach, already.

If the Chargers get the ball back it'll be really fun. Doubt it though.

If that had have been a takeaway it would have been an amazing turn of events.

Can't wait from all of the football scholars to come in here and tell us why it was the right decision to go for it there.

Never been this frustrated with a TV network.. CBS Dallas has been breaking away and split screening about a storm in east texas for the last 15 minutes, been missing all of this..
