Game Thread W8 - Philadelphia V Denver (1 Viewer)

In an odd way Denver's RBBC is great for larger leagues since they produce two startable RBs from one team. Same goes for KC and in PPR leagues Carolina and Cincy.

Are we going to hear the "classless" talk now that Denver just ran in a TD up 21 with less than a minute left?? :hophead:
That is absurd. Like I have said before, you don't want the other team to score? Play defense.

This game seemed a lot like that Jaguars playoff game back in 1997 (the one they won in December, not the one they lost in January). A heck of a scare, but it's nice to be 6-2.Agree completely that if you have both MA and TB you should be starting them both unless you have a good reason.

Imagine what Tater could do with 25 carries. :)

I have him in 3 of my 4 dynasty leagues & I can't wait 'til next year. ;)
Well, that's the thing. Shanahan doesn't think Bell can handle anything more than 15 carries per game.
I don't believe that's the reason there's RBBC in Denver. Just the opposite, really. Anderson won the job, but he's probably not feature back material at this stage of his career. Bell is the perfect compliment. Shanny isn't quite sure what he has in Bell. Nobody really knows what Bell can do with a full load. If he keeps this up, though, he's got an excellent chance to be the feature back next year with another year of age on Anderson, IMO.

Wow, so much for the vaunted Iggle defense...I don't know any championship team that gets bombed like that...On another note...I'd like a moratorium on that inane Iggle song. (Fly, Iggles Fly...) It has to be the most annoying thing I have ever heard from fans of a team that haven't won anything in 45 years...please...stop.

Week 1 in September 2003: Buffalo 31, New England 0 Less than five months later: New England wins the Super Bowl

forget priest and lj, tatum and mike are the combo to have
Hell yeah...I own them both and have been riding this train for the last few weeks..I'm screwed next week for the bye tho...
I hear ya. And with D-Jax, Roy, and Battle all nicked, I can't flex a 4th WR, either. It's either Foster at RB2 (behind Jordan), or I go 2TE.

I'm not saying it's the reason they have an RBBC--they have an RBBC because as has been said numerous times Bell and Anderson compliment each other well.My point is, even if Anderson steps aside at some point (I don't see this happening next year), there is the question of Bell's durability, so I don't know if he'll ever get 25 carries per game.

Keep dreamin...the Iggles are finished.
I hope so since I dislike the Eagles quite a bit. I am just saying, do not judge a team by one really bad or really good performance. As bad as Philly's defense was this week, they are still the same defense that held Tomlinson to 7 yards last week.

It's not a really a far fetched analogy. Denver has to be considered one of the favorites from the AFC at this point. Aside from Indy and Pittsburgh, I can't think of another team that has a better shot.

The eagles have a legitimate chance to come back 1 TD down, 12 minutes left in the 4th qtr and are in feild goal range.

1st down - 5 yd run by Wesbrook

2nd - Incomplete pass

3 and 5 and Mcnabb throws an interception.

Before they started this play I was saying to myself .... they should run. Denver will be expecting the pass with the Eagles commitment to it latley.

Westbrook is playing well and even if they dont get the TD they still need more then one scre to win .... so a Feild goal would not be that disappointing.

There is still plenty of time ... and they need a second score anyway, right? So start to play smarter .... we know they can do it, they have played smartly before!

And Then they call this passing play on third down that was a mess from the start and Denver picks the ball off.

This looks like it is the Eagles Problem latley. This was a legitimate chance to tie, or be one score away from the lead .... AND THEY BLOW IT!

 That was bush league by Shanahan....kneel on the ball. You have a 3 TD lead with under a minute to go, you're just showing up the opponent at that point. Anyone who says that wasn't running up the score is in denial. Now, if you have no problem with that as a general rule, then fine. Personally, I think it would have shown some class for Shanahan to kneel on it at that point .
